    Okay, I've had this before.
    You have to keep on. Maybe you can ask for follow up meeting son this and make sure that you raise this.

    If this boys parents aren't going to do anything about it, then the school have to. It's no good simply saying that the parents won't co-operate. All children have a right to go to school without fear of being attacked, including your son, despite what happend last week.

    In my experience, the old scenario of the "squeaky wheel getting the oil" certainly is the case when it comes to schools.
    "One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
    Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."

    Some people just seem to want to add stars to their MSE profile, so type posts every opportunity without really having anything constructive to say.

    OP - you seem a very caring and concerned parent and hopefully have got to the bottom of what happened. I'm sure it's a one-off and you are dealing with it in the appropriate way. I'm sure you know that.

    Additionally, they tend to get left behind in things like cubs (different age bands), and later on, night clubs
