3 months, 3 years, 3 million, its easy to find them in seconds in a search. I don't understand why people feel they can make a comment, but don't like it when others challenge them about it.

As I said before, there are millions of hotels that don't accept dogs, if you have a problem with animals go there instead. Nobody forces anyone to part with there money. I detest smoking with a passion, and I would not go to a hotel where smoking was allowed in the rooms if you paid me a million pounds, but on the other hand, I don't think it should be stopped as who am I to decide. Live and let live.

Just because you choose to go on holiday with anyone, be it your hubby, dog, friend etc. does not mean you are joined to the hip

if you dont take your dog everywhere with you, then i agree you arent joined at the hip. But i would say the majority of peope who think to take their pets on holiday, are, as why else would they take them?

Maybe they take them because they enjoy being with them. Why should people not take there animals with them if there are places there allowed to be. I agree there should be places to take animals and places not to take them.

You obviously are not a doggie person as you seem to find it hard to understand why people would want to spend time with there pet. My dog is part of my family and while there are lots of times I don't take him with me ie when we go to Turkey and slovenia this year. If I can take him somewhere and its suitable I will take him. A dog is a great companion, not an inconvenience to be shoved in kennels to be got rid off. I do find it odd that you question why people want to take there pets with them.

so when holidaying abroad, you dont take your dog, but you are prepared to take it in this country. why? whats the difference? You can obviously make arrangements for your dog not to travel if leaving the country, but cant/wont when holidaying here

I suppose its similar to the quotes we keep getting about pets being more house-trained than some children. But again, although im allowed to take my kids into restaurants, i avoid taking them at times where the clientele would largely be people who wanted a quiet evening

I dont take my dog abroad because one its too hot for him and that would be cruel, two I can't afford the cost of transporting him in an aeroplane, three I think it would be cruel to have him stuck in a crate somewhere in the cargo hold, and four I can't afford to pay for all the injections etc that he would need for a passport.

You don't take your kids to restaurants where the clientele are mainly adults, thats fine. Its your choice, like its your choice not to go to a hotel that accepts animals. If I want a quiet night in a restaurant with my hubby I avoid places like the harvester and pizza hut that are full of kids. My choice to avoid them, but I would not be arrogant to tell the parents to keep their kids at home so I could have a quiet evening. Live and let live. There are places for everyone in all situations. Please stop trying to be a dictator, and accept there is a place in this world for everyone and everything.

I am glad that the travelodge acknowledges that people like to spend times with there dogs, and its not run by someone like you who seems to think that because they dont want dogs there everyone else thinks the same way.

As I have said before in numerous posts, there are places for people with dogs and places for people without. If it bothers you that much about a dog being there for gods sake go somewhere else and stop trying to spoil it for everyone else.

I have made my point and won't be commenting again as someone who can't understand why someone would want to holiday with there pet to me is strange. People have pets for enjoyment and pleasure, so why on earth should they not take them away when they are enjoying themselves!

Oh and lastly, I have a couple of friends who have very kindly adopted a dog from an animal shelter. They can not afford to go on expensive holidays, and have put most of there cash into giving a dog that was going to be put down a chance of life. They can afford a £9.00 night at the travelodge as a break. What right do you have to try and stop them. But I guess your answer would be dont adopt the dog, if you want to go on a holiday.....Enough said really!

Not everyone can afford to put there dog in Kennels or have a friend family member to look after them.

No doubt if you cant find a sensible answer you will make pedantic comments about my post!!
