I read an article in today's paper about the new boss at Travelodge. Apparently they're spending loads on refurbishment and really trying hard to compete with Premier Inn.

Yes, Travelodges certainly seem to be improving recently. Over the last few years I have always preferred Premier Inn hotels but the newly opened Travelodges and refurbished ones are now of a similar quality.

Forget the discount vouchers now, they haven't done them for ages.If you are a fan of cash back site Quidco you can get 2% off all bookings. Not a lot but better than a kick in the teeth.

I just saw one, £5 off in June, flexible rates only: http://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers/travelodge.co.uk

I thought I saw another earlier for £5 off at weekends, can't find it now (try Google).

EDIT: ah, the first voucher might only be valid at weekends in June. Not v. useful.

Yep. Got to agree with the two posters above.

The days of the really cheap TLs in the sales have long since gone. But the standards have improved.......not that I ever found much to complain about!
The TCB cashback is worth doing.

    best wishes
