Yeah, 'fraid so. The only hope we have is that their current strategy didn't work as planned, and they change tack again. It just depends if they got the numbers they wanted.0

I don`t know if this so called sale has started or not.
Yesterday I looked up some dates I might be interested in booking for today, but having just looked they are the same price and some have actually gone UP.
In the old sales the website would crash and it would be hard to get connected most of the day but now no one`s interested.
The old sale days are now well and truly over, so it`s goodbye TL, it was good while it lasted.0 -
Stayed at an IBIS hotel recently, cheaper than Travelodge with FREE internet in the room.Travelodge have got too greedy. As 2010 said above the website used to crash on genuine sale days, now people realise there are no bargains to be had unless you want to go in Feb in the freezing cold.Look at more realistic months like May and you are looking at £40 a night at Saver rates which you lose if you back out so its just not worth risking.Sorry Travelodge but you've lost another customer here. Most of us are still skint so cranking prices higher is not the thing to do.Day trips now for us when we can see the weather is fine before we set off0

I just booked a 22 quid room in birmingham in January as Im going to a gig at the NEC. I agree travelodge can be a bit hit and miss but I am well happy with that.
I was in London a few weeks ago doing a course and got 4 nights for 149 quid at london city travelodge, couldnt have asked for much better than that, great hotel, very quiet, nothing to complain about.0 -
At this time my cat is along with me at this tour but i am in trouble no room is available for my cat any one tell me the hotel name which is in London who has allow me to live with cat at the same room....
Otherwise, I would search for pet friendly hotels in London in a search engine for other hotels.0 -
Some Travelodges will allow you have your pet with you for a £20 extra charge. Some info HERE

It is really nice and helpful of you to answer adam222's post. Unfortunately
it is blatantly obvious that he is posting merely to eventually to be able to give links. No doubt spam will follow when his posts will be removed.

I have got to agree with you one hundred per cent. For years I have been a TL fan. In the sales I have bought hundreds of TL rooms. At 12 or 15 gbp I have been quite prepared to take a punt. At current prices....no chance.
My latest bookings have been with Premier at 25gbp or English Inns at 9.95 per person including breakfast. There is no competition, is there?
Bye bye TL until you chance."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken

Usually after the £15 sales I`ve got a whole load of bookings right through the spring and summer and into autumn and spent about £450, sometimes more. This is money TL have already got and I`m taking the risk that I can make it to all the bookings or lose my money.
That, I thought, was the whole idea of these sales, to get a load of cash in upfront but still keep selling the rooms at a higher price knowing the hotel is filling up.
My current bookings stand at zero and unless TL changes policy that`s the way it`ll stay barring the odd night when I need to be somewhere early the next day0 -
2010; I know how you feel as I also used to make "spec" bookings for say 2 or 3 nights and write them off if I couldn't make the dates work when the time came. Now I only book those I know I will need, usually 11 months prior to get the lowest rate at the time, and forget the so called sales.
We and all the T/L users are paying for the upgrades one way or another. My spend with T/L next year will be less, but not zero.
The thing that is annoying me though, is that T/L have not yet published the dates/places of the refurbs for 2014, despite telling me in an email weeks ago that they will soon update the list. I want the info so I can at least not end up paying the extra for tired old rooms.0 -

Maybe someone at T/L reads this forum? At last the refurbs list for Jan14 and a little bit of Feb 14 is on the news page, not that many seem to be in popular locations.0
