Think they may have just released some more rooms in London. None in Covent Garden but went back on and got 3 rooms at Tower Bridge - also lovely so will get to the sales after all!!! :T

All sorted now. It was Firefox that wasn't working so I switched to IE.

Missed out on one night at St Austell but now got 10th - 12th Dec @ St Austell and 12th - 13th Dec @ Okehampton. A nice Xmas shopping trip to Truro/Plymouth and three days away for £27. :j

Of course it'll end up costing a whole lot more than £27 when the wife hits the shops!

In the past I have had trouble getting on to the site for these sales. This time, I didn't, but there seemed to be more rooms at £19 than £9. Still, I found one of the nights I wanted at £19, so tried to book that. And tried. And...etc. Eventually it went up to £49, so I missed it despite my efforts. Not worth getting up early for, really.

***BUT it's worth knowing that if you book a Saver Room and find later that you can't use it, it's not necessarily wasted. You CAN often change it as long as it's the same hotel at the same price. Just click on "amend booking".

That is really useful to know. It seems that the sale rooms went on really early again. Someone who posted higher up got theirs at 2 am. I was up at 5.15 am and like you, found there were no £9 rooms at all left long before the 6 am when they said the sale was starting. Never mind. Will be up sooner next time!! Sorry you didn't get your room booked tho. It is dead frustrating when that happens!!!

just managed to get my rooms for dec and jan at gatwick, gutted as didnt put breakfast on one room so when i tried to change it it was adding 17.97 on instead of 5.99:confused:

you only get 2 free children per adult. so that would mean for 5 kids and 2 adults, you would be charged 3 x £5.99 which equals £17.97

the clean-up after a dog has been in a room, should be more indepth, than if a child has stayed, and that is what you are paying for. Kids dont leave hairs all over a room, their scent, fleas, or excrement (unless they have trod in some left behind by a thoughtless dog owner)

Personally i hate the fact Travelodge allow animals in rooms, but hate the fact more, that some people wont leave the house without their pet attached to their hip. There are times and places for animals, and in a hotel room is not one of them

My husband and I go on lots of holiday without our dog, but sometimes its nice to take our dog with us. He is very well trained and is less messy than alot of children I know!! He certainly does not poo in the room.

I think its great that travelodge give you the option to take a pet with you. I would rather be in a room that has had a dog in it that one where someone has smoked!! yuk.

You are obviously someone who does not like animals, fine thats your choice, but don't be so miserable and expect everyone else to feel the same. There are plenty of holidays that don't allow pets around, if you don't like the fact that travelodge allow pets, simple don't go there, use a hotel that has a no pet policy and stop MOANING!!!!

I have just booked three different trips in November and January. Two them I will not be taking my dog too, but one of them I will!
Never argue with a fool, they will lower you to their level and then beat you with experience.........!!!:rotfl::T

I've found the £9 rooms I want at St Austell but it seems the site is broken. I select the dates and click confirm booking but it goes back to the search page.
I got the same, going round in circles... switched browsers ie to Chrome, same thing... rebooted & cleared cookies, still the same. Now it was 5am ish, and I was thinking it was some means to prevent sales before the 6am "start". Fired up an old pc using ie and Bingo - everything had slowed down a lot, but I got the 3 days in Plymouth with a follow-on 4 days in Torquay and 5 days in Barking in Jan uary, no problem at all. Of course, can't say whether changing PC did the trick or just the ten minute wait cleared some glitch.

I didn't know Travelodge allowed dogs - hopefully the increased charges won't deter them (canine variety) from booking - it'd be great to have some intelligent company during my stays - I cannot have a dog myself now and really miss that, so to have one as a neighbour would be a real treat... Yippee!!
