Travelodge room sales discussion

New sales on today at travelodge, but unfortunately I have been checking for edinburgh, glasgow, aberdeen various dates no offers at any of these. Could stay in home town for £10 but as usual even being on the site first thing I still never got a bargain.

Likewise, nothing for me in this sale either.

Hopefully the next main (rather than these recent mini) sale will have some useful T/Ls and not just motorway stops or out of town hotels, otherwise I shall be staying at home a lot next year!

The Travelodge I recently stayed at put me on the 'Pet Free Floor', I've never seen this before so I'm guessing the lodge manager must have introduced it themselves. I was going to write to the Head Office to praise for this but I can imagine they would use it as an oppurtunity to sanction the manager for using initiative by introducing something guests will appreciate.

BEWARE..!!!!!!!Travelodge took 2 payments from my bank they have only allocated 1 room. When I found out they would not action a refund and bleated on that I had agreed to (be ripped off) the terms and conditions. I must rate the customer service as very very poor.
At travelodge 'the customer is not right' infact the customer is treated with contempt.......It's my opinion and based on fact.

What a pain. Set the alarm for extra early to make sure I was logged on to the travelodge website etc via the sale e-mail which did the countdown time saying 23 minutes before sale goes live etc. I then out of curiosity logged on to their website normally only to find the rooms were already on sale :mad:. The sale link didn't let me through until 6am by which time I had already established via the normal website that all the places I had as possibilities were already gone. Wanted to take the kids away in the Easter hols and had various options all of which were back up to £45 prices a night - wish I had stayed in bed for another hour and a half. Just for next time does anyone know when they really go on sale?

so you payed online or directly in Travelodge?

Just to report some success - Valentines night in Mancs (romantic I know £9 room haha) but can have a night out and a drink without getting last train back.

Two mid-week nights in York in March too. nice little mini break, as above - can get train there then drink, wander about, eat, without dashing to the station before 10pm.

I am a great travelodge fan and I have really done well in this latest sale. London, Newcastle, Chester, Edinburgh.......16 nights at £9 per night in total. Couple with the £1 rooms at https://www.Campanile.com I have lots and lots of UK breaks between now and June.

I set my alarm extra early for this sale, and was in luck - managed to get a £9 family room outside Cambridge in mid-May, stopping over for a golf tournament the following day. Well chuffed!
