I agree the original is classic, but I still loved 28 Weeks. Probably as im a zombie fanatic

I'm a bit of a Zombie fanatic myself. If you liked 28 Days Later, you should read The Day Of The Triffids by John Wyndham. There are no zombies in it, but quite a lot of that film was "inspired" by it.
Have you read Stephen King's Cell? It's a great zombie book with a modern twist.0 -

Also on SkyHD it only makes a difference if you are actually watching a HD channel!0

Band Of Brothers looks really good in HIDEF. I recall part 1 and it shows maybe 50 guys in one group and you can 'clearly' see every single one of them. Very impressive (And the sound effects are jaw dropping at times):idea:0

I'm probably going to push the boat out and buy Mamma Mia on blue ray but off topic for a moment I went to see Bolt in 3d last week and it was amazing.0

Forgot to mention that Baraka is supposed to be stunning  , it's not a film as such but clips of people around the world set to music...........What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0

The difference you will see really depends upon the quality and the screen-size of your television.
You're not going to see much (if any) difference from a DVD on a 19" television but on a 50" or 60" top-of-the-range television the improvement (like the screen itself) is huge.
We've got a 20" Sony on the kitchen table and a 52" Sony in the lounge (both are LCD). I wouldn't buy a Blu-ray player or disc to watch things on the 20".
In terms of what Blu-ray discs to buy, the nature of the film is important. To take some well-known films, "Dances with Wolves", "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Out of Africa" would be great to watch on Blu-ray because they're shot on a grand scale and there is much detail in the picture; whereas, "A Few Good Men" was formerly a stage-play and is fundamentally about talking heads - it would be nice in Blu-ray but perfectly adequate in upscaled DVD.
And, to really enjoy the experience of either, a good sound system is just as important.
we have this tv.

it is mainly dark coloured back grounds were it is really noticable. blacks look fine and bright colours look fine. fuzzy may not be the best way to describe it. snowy perhaps? lack of clarity? i might see if i can capture it on camera. if i can capture it well i will post the photo here.
its weird really because aspects of sky hd are better than an upscaled dvd and other parts are worse.
i have just thought of something. you know how a sd picture looks worse with a sky hd box through the hd cable than what it does through the scart cable? would you describe that as a fuzziness? well it is similar to that but of course nowhere near as bad but i still think that something that is hd shouldnt have it even a tiny bit.0
