It might not be boots that is behind this, it could be the company that actually produces the machine...0

I think it's more likely to be a marketing team employed by Boots, judging from the posts I've read here and on other forums. The suspicious posters often keep linking to official Boots sources, videos or Boots Facebook pages.
Boots themselves may not even be completely aware of, nor care about, the extent of the spam marketing and are possibly just interested in increased sales.0 -

great! so i wasted 5 shots for nothing
oh btw, did u guys use it on the whole pubic area ? because i tried doing it i only did the top part i noticed that the pain gets more and more when i go down so i'm worried now because i heard that the more treatment you do the more the pain!!! is that true, or does it depends on the thickness of the hair
Ive found this aswell, the more pain the further down you go, but its basically the machine working harder and getting hotter and then I find it unbearable so I stop and leave it in standby mode for 10 minutes, and start again, which is a bit annoying when u already have all the gel on ready. On all areas of the body I have found this machine to be less and less uncomfortable the more I have used it....except for the pubic area. So yes I do believe its related to the thickness and density of the hair. Hope this helps.
Whether we win or lose, that we played at all was a winning decision.2011 wins £12,2922012 wins ...Thank you to all who post on here!!!! :A0 -

It helps indeed , but i must bare the pain , because the major reason of buying this machine was for this area ! lol0 -
My update!
I have been using the Smooth Skin on one side of my body - to see more clearly the difference it was making - or not.
I have done 12 treatments now on just my right leg, and there is very little difference between my legs. Not sure if I am disappointed as I had already done zillions of treatments (perhaps 15 -20) on both legs, so it does mean that if you leave it a while after treating an area it wont get worse straight away. Perhaps I have reached optimum hair reduction now on my legs. They are not hair free – there are some hair free patches, and the hair grows back finer – although I still need to shave every 2/3 days (I wear skirts to work, and don’t like tights).
Bikini line is much better – the 12 treatments have made a big difference. It’s still not hair free, but it’s almost there and the hair growing back is much finer – I was very hairy before and got heaps on ingrown hairs (still get the odd one now).
I hadn’t done anything to my underarms before and the 12 treatments of my left underarm has made a difference – it’s not hair free AT ALL and I can only tell the difference the machine has made by comparing one to the other. Bit disappointed as other posters has great success in treating their underarms. Although this could have been a boots contributor.
I have worked in PR in the past and “ghost blogging” or ghost writing is very common now, and if often outsourced to a PR agency specialising in social (online) media.

Thanks for the review- really helpful.
I'd agree, the ghost writing happens alot, companies approach individuals and ask them to join certain forums to write posative things about items- it may not have been someone who 'works for boots' but more someone who boots may have paid to do a job for them. Slightly different. Either way it does put me off- why would anyone need to do this if the product worked?0 -
Just wondering if it worked as I'm tempted to buy one...the new one which has just come out which can also be used on the face? Any further info on it ie: is it painful? does it still over heat and burn? Does it work? would all be very much appreciated! Cheers0
