No not all of them, but probably quite a few. I'm sure there are a lot of genuine people.
On this board you can tell, you can't fake 000s of posts that some MSErs have.
Or people like you who are new but ask genuine questions and don't sound like an advertisement for Boots.

I finally bought one of these and it should arrive today or tomorrow. Should I use it on a totally clean shave or a bit of stubble? Also, does it make your skin red or blotchy afterwards? I'm going out this weekend so don't want to use it beforehand if it'll be a problem.

I've been thinking about getting this, can anyone answer a couple of questions?

    1. how frequently do Boots do offers on this - i.e. extra points, or reduced prices. Are there any regular offers I should look out for?
    2. has anyone had much success with claiming a refund more than a couple of months after buying it if it didn't work?

I have dark hairs, individually quick thick (though quite sparse on my legs now after several years of epilating), so I think this should work for me, but I'd like some reassurance about the financial outlay :)

Bit of stubble is best as it needs to travel down the hair to the root.

If its the first time using - then do it before bed and should ok by morning. That is if you have a reaction. I never even had red skin even on the highest setting.

    This is utter rubbish.
I don't think anyone claims it works for all. So OK, it may not be permanent but it's miles better for me than electrolysis was.
I'm quite happy with it and I certainly don't have any links with Boots.

terra_ferma did say: "I'm sure there are a lot of genuine people." You're obviously one of them, and I'm sure that it has worked well for lots of others.

However, terra_ferma is suspicious about posters whose only posts sing the praises of the Boots system and seem to be very clued up on information coming directly from Boots. I've seen this myself on other forums, as I've said before - one particular poster (who kept popping words like "yay!!!" into her posts) raved about the Smooth Skin on several different sites. It was quite obviously the same person, and they kept pushing a Facebook page (something like "Here Come the Boots Smooth Skin Girls"), as well as providing answers and information directly from Boots.

The opinions of genuine consumers, whether in favour of or against products, are extremely valuable and are exactly what we all want to read. However, some unethical companies employ people to pose as posters on forums in order to push their products - which is what terra_ferma and myself suspect may have happened with at least one poster on this site. (Look at Cocktail Girl's posts and history - she may be genuine, but you must admit that it is a little suspicious.)

I have read this thread with interest. I have suffered from facial hair since I was a young teenager, suffered in silence. I have plucked, shaved, bleached etc. This system sounded good but I was sceptical.

I have used it for about two weeks now and today I noticed the hair shedding. I can hardly believe it. I can't say if it is permanent, but this is a miracle!

I will try it on other areas now. It's been fast, easy and almost painless. With Boots offering a no quibble money back guarantee I had nothing to lose. I don't work for boots - lol :)

I'd be interested too as per my previous postings. I'm glad it wasn't just me that was suspicious :)
Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Thanks! It arrived today so I'll be trying it tonight. I'll report back if there are any skin issues with it :) I didn't realise it came with a tube of the gel so I'm kicking myself for buying two spares, I dunno if I'll even need that much!

I would have thought that my post was quite clear, and that people like you with 12k posts are quite clearly genuine (unless all you did was to post 12000 time about Boots, which I very much doubt even without checking....).

Well cocktail girl had 40 posts and all singing Boot's praise. A coincidence?
