i did 2 shots in the same spot which is stupid but i duno why i feel the more shot u put the better the results hehe
does the result apear in the 1st treatment ? because i did te patch on my leg which is the last area i want to treat0 -
Still excited at the impending delivery of said machine. Shaved under arms day before yesterday, and now have a few tiny itchy bumps, I think from hair growing back. Do those of you who have been "Smooth Skinned" find that you don't have to contend with as much of that any more?
YES!! And it's fantastic! I was just thinking about this the other day as before I treated my bikini line with the smooth skin, the hair would grow back really quickly and I would get red, itchy bumps. This meant that I couldn't shave again for ages or I would be shaving the bumps and therefore I'd get lots of nicks and cuts. I was just looking at my bikini line yesterday and despite not shaving for a week, it is hairless and smooth as silk - no bumps, no razor rash, no ingrown hairs! It's definitely one of the main positives for me.0 -
Oh wow. I can't wait.
Well, it will be months before I get to that lesser-haired state, but am still looking forward to it! Thank you!0 -
Sorry but i am completely new on here and only came across this site after searching for reviews on the hair removal kit from boots.
Can someone tell me in idiot terms :
I am going on hols in 6wks do I buy it and hold off until i have had waxing done and on my return from hols start the treatments? or should i buy and start now?
Can I shave during my treatments ?
Do i need to shave or grow my hair for the 1st time i use it ?
My hair is very dark and very strong, i will only want to do bikini and legs, i can shave on a monday and have a stubble by tues morning  !!., how long does it take to do legs??
AND THE BIG ONE,,,,,,DOES IT WORK !!??? REALLY ? I do understand you have to keep treating yourself, but then i am constantly shaving so it's got to be better than that !
many thanks for this , sorry guys , like I said sooooo many questions and dead excited about the treatment (if it works)
Any bad feed back yet on this product ??:(0 -

sorry to snip but it DOESN'T really work.
Read the reviews on here to see what users have found. I am really disappointed in mine & considering taking it back. It did cost £250 when it was launched but it's now went up to £325 :eek:Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -

If this is the case and you really have seen no reduction in hair, despite using it regularly, then you should complain. A lot of people have had very good results with this product.Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.

cocktail_girl wrote: »S_0o0o did you read the manual?:o The flash from the Boots smoothskin won't damage your eyes if you do happen to look at it while doing a treatment. It has been tested to BS safety standards for eye safety, the only home IPL that has!! It is quite bright though :rotfl:cocktail_girl wrote: »A feeling of warmth is quite normal when you are using Boots smoothskin, it can also sometimes feel like an elastic band snapping against your skin.
Going over the same spot more than once is not a good idea, 'cause it could lead to some sort of reaction like a burn. It also wastes the shots on the machine!:(
What are these bumps? are they ingrowing hairs from shaving? If this is the case then use the smoothskin over these, carefully and after a few weeks you'll find you get much less ingrown hairs.
Take care when using the smoothskin and I'm sure you'll soon see results.
yeaaaaaaaaaaahfeel like an elastic band snapping against your skin.
about the bumps, ther are darker than my skin n i was worried if i do it on them , their colour will stay on my skin! thats y i only done the upper part not on bikini
has anyone tried it on their tummy area?0 -
Yup I did my tummy area and was hair free in around 6 weeks maybe less. One of the areas I was lucky that it DID work on ... currently doing fortnightly top ups on it.0

I have a quick question about the machine. I am now onto my second one and I'm not sure whether or not it is faulty. The first machine I had was fine for over a month but then it started to overheat really quickly so I took it back. I only do small areas (underarms and BL) but I found that even after doing my underarms, the head of the machine felt really hot when I put it on my skin (before even flashing it). This seems to make the flash more painful.
My second machine also seems to be doing this, but it didn't the first couple of times I used it. I'm not sure if this is just the way they are or if there is something wrong with it? I know they have problems overheating and have to have cool down periods, but I thought that was after using it for a long time. Mine seems to get very hot after using it for just 2 - 3 minutes. Any other experiences of this? It's making me dread my zapping sessions because it gets so painful when the machine is that hot.0
