7th August Pits on medium setting. (Not a good test as I'd epilated them fairly recently)

22nd August Pits, Nips, right inner thigh fair

23rd August left inner thigh and backs of both thighs fair

24th August rear bikini, left lower leg fair

28th August face, mid bikini, front thighs fair

29th August - Woohoo! I've just taken a good look at my lower legs & I can definately see the difference between the treated & the untreated leg. There is still a lot of hair remaining but it's definately working. Of course it's too early to say if it will last but for me this is fantastic after only one treatment.:j

can you use this machine on ur forearms arms back etc. And what if ur asian but light brown skin with black hair.

I believe that Boots say that it's not suitable for asians with your colouring. I think you can view the instruction leaflet & precautions for this unit on the Boots website.
  • Hey! I have been following this thread for months now and even purchased the BSS and I thought I would just tell you my experience with it. I am asian with medium brown skin which is quite light in places and I have dark hair. I have done 6 sessions so far and have had excellent results. My bikini line has seen the best results. Hair has slowed down immensely all over my body and I have bald patches in a lot of places. Have no complaint about this machine. It is quite messy because of the gel but I would have to say it probably is better than Tria. I do a full body session weekly. I don't wait for the growth cycle and I am having good results so far so I am going to carry on doing it weekly.

I know there are alot of asians who are quite weary about this machine but the machine hasn't given me any problems. I am not the lightest of people so hopefully this helps too.

I think it's great that members are reporting back on this product and it's such a helpful thing to do. I hope they keep going because I'd love to buy one if it truly is a permanent solution. I'm retiring soon and currently spend £15 on half leg wax every 6 weeks and £7 on chin wax every 4 weeks and to be able to reduce these outgoings would be great.

Trouble is, I think back over the years how often I've bought products or gizmo's which claim to be a permanent solution to whatever problem it happened to be - health, beauty, kitchen, general household etc but they invariably failed to live up to the promise.

Who was it that said the only certain things in life are death and taxes?

Who knows! this product from Boots could be the turning point. I hope so after all the hard work being done by members both by using it and then posting the results here.

  • I have been using the machine now for about 7 weeks, and am really pleased in the difference. Most of my facial hair has now gone and the few hairs I have had have been much lighter and not noticeable. I have also used under arms, and that is much improved (think I have missed a few bits, rather than the machine)
  • what country are u from?
  • I have been using it for 6 weeks exact and I am most happy with the results on my face too. I had literally stubble growing under my chin and my upper lip had thick coarse hairs too. Everything has thinned down completely and hair is barely noticeable now.

I have been trying to get my sister to use it as well. Shes waiting for my 12 sessions to be completed and then she will try it.

Absolutely hate doing my legs. Time consuming and quite messy. Does help if you chill the activator gel beforehand. But there are patches missing and hair growth is slowing.

This forum is so helpful because it actually encouraged me to go buy the BSS and I havent regretted it since

My motivation is that I expect to see at least an 80% reduction after a years use (going on IPL trilals I found on the web) and any remaining hair will be much easier to deal with. I don't think this is always a quick process. Don't give up. It will be worth it for those kind of results.
