    Hello,

I'm wondering whether anyone has noticed the shedding. I had my bikini lasered over 2 weeks ago & it's still shedding! When I use the IPL I will probably rotate areas & only go over one area once a month. Can't wait to try this on my legs. If it works on the lower legs alone it will be worth it for me.:j

I have used my smooth skin about 5 times now on face and under arms, on a dark setting and very pleased with the results so far. I used it yesterday for the first time on legs, on a medium setting as hairs are much lighter. I covered the area down the front of my leg where most of the hairs are, and afterwards had large red marks on the inside of my leg not in an area where I had treated. It is still really sore and quite dry skin today. Does anyone have any suggestions what has happened.

Hi sunshine, hope I'm not teaching my granny to suck eggs here but from your post it sounds like you might be on the wrong setting.

The dark medium or fair settings refer to the colour of your skin NOT the hair.

Fair is the "strongest" setting and should be used if you have very pale skin and dark hair. If you have darker skin you go to medium or dark, this is because you have to use a "lower dose" to prevent burning as darker skin can absorb some of the light.

If your hair isn't significantly darker than your skin then the treatment won't work and you will risk burning your skin.

The gel has quite a few chemicals which could be causing a reaction. I usually buy natural products (deororants, shower gels, etc...) but obviously there is no alternative to use but this product for the BSS. I have found a reaction when using it on my face, but no-where else.

Jaine, sometimes I find to exfoliate the area helps with shedding. I think some dead hairs seem to sit below the skin for a while and dont come out unless u use a pair of tweezers (not plucking) or exfoliate. I found this with my legs.

I was looking for a solution for masking areas & have just discovered Aqueous Cream BP. It only costs £1.75 for a huge 500g tub at Wilco's. I'll apply it with earbuds. It's very thick & whiter than white so it should be perfect. Much better than fiddling with scissors & stickers I reckon.
  • I know this may sound a daft question, I have got a few 'bald' patches, now, do I still use the machine over these, or do I stop now. I haven;t quite got my head around hair growing cycles. thanks

I've still been going over them.
  • hello everyone,
thought i'd join in the massive thread!
Has anyone tried this on their stomachs? I have a very embarrassing problem of a line of hair running from my pubic bone all the way up to my boobs!
It's disgusting and i'll try anything to get rid of it! Only problem is the hair is slightly fair, altho below the belly button is darker.

    Howdy,

I haven't had time to use this much yet, I've only used it once. I'd love to hear a few more success stories.

    Cheers
  • I assume this is no good for hair thinning? It sounds like results are patchy
