You certainly shouldn't be receiving any mean messages, and if they're abusive in any way you should be reporting them to Dooyoo.

In order to make any decent money from Dooyoo, you really do need to put a certain amount of effort into any reviews and into the community, it's not as simple as rattling off 150 words.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

thanks fiver. I am getting better, didn't realise quite how detailed they needed to be, as other sites aren't that bothered.

I may send the message to abuse :) thanks

Can't believe somebody sent you nasty messages jammy, that's out of order. I would definitely report them. :) You think people would want to help newbies rather than be horrible to them?

I've just been asked by a friend for tips as she wants to start writing dooyoo reviews. My two bits of advice were 1 Don't churn and 2 Read lots of reviews to get a feel for what is needed and wanted at the site (I gave her a couple of user names to check out ) other than write a witty and eye catching title I think that's the best advice-but if anyone has any other thoughts-please go right on ahead (I don't want to get into the politics of dooyooo with her but just keep it simple for now)

I would suggest her checking out the reviews on advice for new members, but taking it all with apinch of salt as it's only peoples opinions.

    Hi everyone
I joined dooyoo last week and have just had a few of my reviews locked. I was just wondering if anybody had had a lot of success with this site before continuing and whether it would be better to save my miles for cash or swap them for an amazon voucher

    Thanks in advance:rolleyes:

There is a long thread on this forum which may be of help

  • Guides are nice as nice as they can be to new members. The problem is that some new members don't like to receive anything else than Very Useful on their reviews and thats when the problem starts. Its a lot better to just read the site rules, something Mattygroves has already stated on the first page of this thread.

Crucially if you don't like reading or writing, then forget the whole idea of Dooyoo; financially it will not benefit you in the long run.

Some days I really wish I could bring myself to churn! I keep trying to convince myself to write more reviews but I end up reading so many reviews on there and it's more a case of procrastination than anything else!

I tend to write one or two reviews a week and I get around 60-90 rates per review (a few have broken the 100 barrier.) I'm probably contradicting myself here but some days I don't actually think that rating so many people's work is an efficient use of my time. I'm getting close to a 1000 rate difference between rates received and given (in other people's favour) and it's getting to the point where I'm finding reading other people's mediocre reviews a bit tedious. (It's much worse now I've got a laptop as I can read a lot more reviews during the day on my days off.)

Contrary to most people, I'm going to try to spend more time writing to see what difference it makes to my rates and miles! It would be interesting to see whether rate levels differ that much if I write daily reviews for example.
