  • It is there but has gone all invisible.

When you search for a product you will get a couple of tabs coming up - "Overview" and "Reviews", plus on some items there is also a tab for "Price Comparison".

Click on the "Reviews" tab and scroll right down to the bottom of the reviews listed.

There you will find a box with the words "Have You Had a Different Experience"? and right after there is the link to write your own review.

Like I said, it's not particularly visible, but it is still there.

  • Hi, I'm quite new to Dooyoo. Been on there for about a month but didn't go on for about two weeks because i had my boyfriend to stay.

Reading all your information i'm worrying that i'm not doing enough to help other people.

I write around 5 reviews a day, this is mainly because i have trouble sleeping, i'm not worried about getting hundreds of ratings because i enjoy writing them when i can't sleep and i find that it clears my head a little bit.

The thing is i've written 53 reviews and have only rated 71. I've recieved around 300 ratings myself. I'm working on trying to give ratings back (but i find it a little bit impossible with my crappy halls internet connection, but thats annother story)

But i'm not going to get like hated or something for writing so many reviews am i?

I admit my first few reviews were terrible, but i am getting better. One of them is even locked. I still have to sort it out.

I just this weekend signed up for dooyoo and have been having lots of fun writing reviews already! xD I love reading reviews anyway (I'm one of those who likes to know about everything before I buy it =X) so I think this should be ok for me.

Hopefully this will help me get a little extra monies. :)

I think you're churning a bit to be honest (and I mean that in a constructive way.) I don't write 5 a day and I have been a DooYoo member for a long time, with a few crowns under my belt.

It would be better for you and better for the site if you wrote, say, 2 really high quality reviews rather than 5 ok or below par reviews. Have a look at the crowned reviews - it's not just about 1000+ words, it's the quality of the information, the way it is presented, and the little extras that matter.

As for not rating other people as much - if you can write a review and submit it, I'd argue that you could read and rate 10 other reviews. I don't ever rate without reading but I always make sure to read and rate 50 other reviews before I write another one myself (even if it takes me a few hours to do so - I generally read book reviews).

    HTH :)

I'm a bit late to the mix, but IMO, you can post as many reviews per day as you want. From a community perspective though, you need to give out more reads than you get. That way you're not seen to be leeching off the site and the community. If you can't at least break even in reads, then you're going to get less reads yourself, no matter how many reviews you post per day. The number of reads you get is related to the number of reads you give out more than the number of reviews you post. The community can be very pedantic that way. If you're only giving out say 10 erads per day and getting 30 reads, you'll still only get 30 reads if you post 1 review instead of 5, so reducing the number of reviews you post might get you a better review/read count, but it won't magically increase the number of reads you get on its own.
