please help i was relying on this site for my sil bday pressie

Dooyoo don't work weekends so if you contacted them three days ago, you probably need to give it a little bit longer. Have you tried a member search whilst not logged in to see if your account is still there?

Yes the number you see on that screen shot is member and non member reads. It is not ratings. You would need to click into somebody else's review to see how many ratings it got.

Do you know if we get the 1.5p for non member reads?

    No, only for member reads.

Well I keep seeing people that have over 100/200/300 ratings, and I just don't get how they've got it! I haven't even managed to get over 50 ratings on any review :(

I always get over 50 ratings per review but then I only do one review every few days at most and then rate other peoples... I didn't do a review for a while and got 241 rates on the last review before I stopped for a while.

It's probably the amount of reviews you're writing which means you don't get as many rates; you may get the same amount of rates but spread over 5 reviews rather than one, for example.

  • They've locked some of my reviews for no reason as well. And they wont reply to my email (or havent done yet) and they're actually starting to really annoy me now.
And duchy, you cant see locked reviews. I just copied and pasted mine to a few people here as that's the only way you can see them.

  • Dooyoo don't lock reviews for 'no reason'. Your reviews will have been locked for any of the following reasons (I've not read the reviews in question, so this is only speculation):

Quality - judging by your use of English here, I'd guess that your reviews had serious grammar and spelling issues, making them difficult to read.

Quantity - although the minimum word count is 150, that is 150 words of actual, genuine opinion - not description, or ingredients, or the like, but a review. Just saying 'ths game is gr8, and i luv it' doesn't cut it.

Copying - reviews that are copied from other sources or people WILL be removed (though cross posting - re-posting your own reviews you've put elsewhere is allowed).

Abuse - if your review is abusive to any other members or is blatantly racist, homophobic, sexist or otherwise offensive, they are likely to be blocked or removed.

As I say, I've not read your reviews, and so the only basis I have to comment on your specific case is your posts here. If you still have copies of the blocked reviews, I'll look at them, if you like.

    Hi

I had trouble with Dooyoo locking my reviews as they were just over the 150 minimum word count and they termed it as 'word fraud'. I don't mean to be rude but as the previous poster said, your spelling and grammar aren't great and I wonder whether that might be the reason behind them locking your reviews.

  • Hello all, this is actually my first post on the site, although I have been a "lurker" for quite some time getting tips and so on.

Anyway, my question to you all, is what defines a churner? Surely, if somebody is capable of producing quality reviews consistently and very quickly, that are rating VU 95% of the time, then where is the problem?

Of course, I appreciate that many abuse the dooyoo system and do not spend time rating others' work and are keen to just make some money, but if you have very little to do all day, and you type fast, such as myself, and can review almost everything you've ever used, what is the problem with doing more than 20 reviews a day for example?
