  • I have never had a review locked, do they not tell you why it has been locked when they do it?
  • Nope, just lock them. I had 3 locked on.. erm.. Sunday morning I think it was. I really dont know why one of them was locked. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it.

All very good points although to be a pedant it is not necessarily about returning rates but rather giving back to the site as many rates as you receive.
Sorry that's what I meant, return rates to the community, not to individuals. Just badly put :D

Weird...have you asked them why they are locked? I guess that is all you can do and ask what you need to do to get them unlocked. Don't know about getting miles back I am afraid.

You say you had three locked and were not sure about one of them, why do you think they locked the other two?

Yeah, I asked them and they just gave me the list of reasons for reviews being locked so.. Not much use really.

One of them was because I only had 156 words and apparently that wasnt enough and the other one was because it was too opinionated I think. The third one though, I really have no idea and it's annoying me.

You don't get reviews locked because they're too opinionated, that is what reviews are about...giving opinions.
If you want me to look at your reviews and give my opinion on what might make the review passable I don't mind doing it, not that I'm an expert but I've never had a review locked or been refused payment.

Ditto - I'd be happy to have a look. RE the one that's 156 words, keep in mind that you need 150 of opinion - chances are you didn't have that, because you'd have had more than six words of description, and possibly even stuff from the side of a box and the like.

Conversely, you generally need SOME description - you may have had a review that said basically 'this is great, I really like it, it's fab...' - you get the drift (I'm not saying you did any of these things, as I've not read the reviews, but this is good general advice anyway).

I guide on Dooyoo (health), so if you do want any specific input, please do ask.

    Hope this helps!

I posted quite a long review just now (about 800 words) and had VU's within a minute or so... It's so obvious people don't actually read the reviews, nearly everyone has millions of VUs and I get nervous to put SU or NU in case they get offended lol. It's so ridiculous.

I can understand your concern, there are some people getting quite maniacal (if that is a word) about rates less than VU. Trouble is, it is self perpetuating, the more people rate VU, the more *some* people expect it and get nasty when they don't get it.

There's no need to be nervous, just rate as you see fit. Some people might ask why you rated SU or NU so they can improve, and you can tell them if you want to. I asked someone myself today, although she only replied with a 'because I wanted to' type of answer anyway.

But what the heck it's 1.5p in my pocket :) The more people who rate properly, the more the persistent VU'ers will be shown up, and the people who demand VU's will find their demands wanting.
