Hi- was just wondering if it's standard to comment/rate everyone's reviews who have done the same to you?! It all feels a bit fake
If somebody has read my reviews I check through theirs but i'll only read reviews that are things that interest me, I don't see the point reading about things I have no interest/knowledge of.
I then read through the new review list and again read ones that interest me. Think happy & you'll be happy

It's a personal choice, as long as you read around the site and rate people I don't think it matters how you choose what to read.
I personally do return all rates, I go through my reviews probably once a week and return all of the rates for them. I also go to the new reviews page most days and see if there's anything that interests me.
My favourite way to rate people is to start by clicking on one review and then after rating that rate the person who rated it before me. I find that it helps me to find new members who I may have missed and it also means that I'm not rating anyone who doesn't rate other people.
But as I said it's a personal choice.0 -

Occasionally I will mention when a review needs spell checking or better grammar, but at the moment with so many poor reviews I haven't even been doing that.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -

The key issue is to make sure that you do rate other people's reviews as most older members check people's statistics to see whether they rate other people. (I know I do!)
Returning rates as a new member will probably help you to stand apart from the masses of new members out there and will make people more likely to come back and rate other reviews you write.
I return rates as a matter of courtesy (with very few exceptions) but also read new reviews and raters/commenters from other reviews I come across.
Commenting again (providing they are relevant to the review) also helps you to stand out from the crowds and shows that you are actually interested in other people's work. If it doesn't come naturally to you or you haven't got anything of interest to say about a review, don't bother.0 -
Nothing has chenged then totalserenity and her chums burtybookworm, jojopillo and davidrush are still ganging up, even though Dooyoo told me
Please be assured that
you are totally within your rights to rate a review however you see fit,
provided that you first read the review properly. We encourage you to continue
rating reviews according to your own personal opinion of how useful it is.
Pathetic
Dooyoo is sh#t stay away
Terry I found you on dooyoo and it looks like you are revenge rating so I don't really have much sympathy for you.
Your Pork Chop recipe - I probably would have given that SU or U because there is NO personal opinion at all, you've just copied a recipe down
You'll find that more experienced dooyoo'ers will downrate something if there's no personal opinion in it, rightly so IMO.
If you're serious about Dooyoo, perhaps you should stop revenge rating, don't read/rate people's reviews if you don't like them and stop with the personal attacks on here. Think happy & you'll be happy

If you want, Terry, I can follow up on this with Dooyoo for you.
And I'd like to add an additional point, highlighted by Terry...
Revenge rating is being rated low due to YOU rating another reviewer's review low and not the actual quality of the review. Giving someone a low rating is not revenge rating.0 -

To be fair here a recipe is never going to contain much in the way of opinion other than "I like it" and either "it's easy to cook" or "it's not easy to cook".
Which leads one to wonder if recipes really have a place on a review site, but that's another debate.0 -
Recipes these days are in speakers' corner anyway, so don't attract the 50p posting bonus nor the £1.50 if they are awarded a crown.
The only way they earn are by member read. So it's not a real issue, though one does need to be careful that one doesn't just copy a recipe out of a book, as that would be plagiarism.

Yes, I think they have been informed. Have you seen their About Me on dooyoo at the moment?
This bullying is shameful. All Terry did was rate as he saw fit, which was not VU as there was a lot of waffle. Something a lot of other members have agreed with.0
