This bullying is shameful. All Terry did was rate as he saw fit, which was not VU as there was a lot of waffle. Something a lot of other members have agreed with.
:rotfl:Thanks Terry0 -
*Board Guide Note*
I've removed a post from this thread 'naming and shaming' specific dooyoo members. This thread is a general discussion thread and a place to offer advice and suggestions about using Dooyoo effectively, it is not appropriate to be making personal remarks about specific Dooyoo members here.0 -
I think everyone is getting too carried away and it is getting too personal, everyone has there right to an opinion and to let that opinion be known, in the right way and tone of course.
Stop the personal attacks, we are all part of dooyoo and we all do our bit, we do not socialise in person (well some might), we just all interact via the website.
It is not an ideal world and we don't all get along, if you find people that you don't gel with then stay away from them, there are so many people on dooyoo that you shouldn't have to interact with the ones you don't get on with, stop access to messages, I think you can do this, change your username so they can't track you down.
Its just petty squabbling like children, just let it go and move on, you all yourself know if you are being genuine or not, just rate as you see fit, I know it's hard sometimes, but as long as you are following the rules, don't worry about anyone else.0 -

Most advice here is to rate as you see fit, but the attitude of one of the parties involved seems to indicate that nothing short of a VU will do and displays a shocking lack of understanding in the entire peer review system. This can be seen in the "about me" text and comments posted by this member.
If people are going to react this way to a Useful rating, sadly there's nothing you can do unless Dooyoo get involved. And they will. This has been raised with Dooyoo and if Dooyoo can prove wrong doing by any of the parties involved, action will be taken. That includes those that are supposedly revenge rating for the so-called aggrieved party and leaving quite unecessary comments on reviews.
Remember, reviews are rated on how useful YOU think it would be in making a purchasing decision, not what the review author demands off you.0 -

Since the newsletter has gone out again, and the link to the information about Dooyoo is still incorrect, I thought I'd just remind possible new users to Dooyoo that you
- Won't get paid out after £10, you need to accumulate at least £20 to get an Amazon Voucher
- You don't get points for reviews shorter than 150 words, even if other members find them useful
- You do get 50p for every review over 150 words, but the chances of producing a review with a high enough standard with only 150 words is slim to say the least. So you will be spending a lot of time writing 40 reviews to get to the £20 mark, only for them to be rejected when you ask for payment (there are some exceptions to the rule of course)
- You'll make more money by returning rates than by churning out 100's of reviews in a day.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -

All very good points although to be a pedant it is not necessarily about returning rates but rather giving back to the site as many rates as you receive.0 -

If they are locked because they do not reach the minimum requirements dooyoo will usually look at them again if you edit them. They are quite strict though.0 -

Okay, thanks. I don't even know why one of them was locked as it met all the requirements and everything and that was several days ago so I was just wondering if they would unlock them.
Do you get the points back if they unlock them?.Sometimes.I.Wonder.Why.I'm.Still.Here..Sometimes.I.Think.I'm.Going.Crazy.0
