Anyway, my question to you all, is what defines a churner? Surely, if somebody is capable of producing quality reviews consistently and very quickly, that are rating VU 95% of the time, then where is the problem?
Of course, I appreciate that many abuse the dooyoo system and do not spend time rating others' work and are keen to just make some money, but if you have very little to do all day, and you type fast, such as myself, and can review almost everything you've ever used, what is the problem with doing more than 20 reviews a day for example?
As long as they all meet dooyoo's quality standards in theory nothing, but you will find people wont read and rate many of them as
a) people get fed up of reading the same persons reviews all the time
b) if you arent getting involved in the community aspect people will not 'know your name'
Most people find it better to write and post one every couple of days or so, and spend time reading and rating around the site, I tend to write two or three reviews at once in a word program and post them a little while apart so as not to overwhelm the new reviews page - and I find it maximises my reads (posting daily I used to get 30 or 40per review max, now its one a month or so and still getting 50 or 60 and I tend to do more reading around when I have time). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I don't know that there is a definition of a churner beyond somebody who posts more than a couple of reviews a day. I think getting VU for 95% is irrelevant as so many members are too scared to rate anything but VU.
Anyway there is absolutely nothing wrong with churning reviews, so long as they are original, contain personal experience and are not full of waffle. If dooyoo is OK with this then why should anyone else mind.
That said, I have found that it makes more sense to aim for writing fewer but higher quality reviews. A high quality review can earn £3 or so, whereas a churned review read by a small number of people will earn about 70p.0 -

Personally, I find it hard to believe that any one can keep up the pace of 20 plus reviews per day, irrespective of what time they have on their hands.
A churner is someone that posts a lot and gives back little/nothing - overall review rating means nothing IMO. If you're going to post reviews at that rate, you have to be seen to be giving back to the site, which means your read rate has to exceed the amount of reads you're given. I don't think it's possible to keep that up - you can't post 20 GOOD reviews per day and still do the amount of reading required to maintain a positive read score. If you're spending 30 mins on a review, typing quickly , that means it's taking you ten hours per day just posting reviews, never mind doing your bit in reading around the site. There are some guides, sadly, with HUGE read figues who have only given 50% of these back to the site. That doesn't say much for the people that Dooyoo are giving Guides roles to.0 -

I have just looked at the guides' stats and am not seeing the 50% figure you quote.
Conversely there are some guides who have read over 50% more reviews than they have received rates on - but I don't see the differentials you mention.
Obviously some have rated more reviews than others - but I think overall the guides give plenty back to the site.0 -

It was done off the top of my head. I know for a fact there's a guide who has a read ratio of 0.65. IMO, any guide should have a read ratio of at least 1.0 (1 read given for each received). This isn't a dig at that member, but Dooyoo, because a 1.0 RR should be a pre-requisite for any guide BEFORE they're asked if they want the role. How can we advise reading as many reviews as possible if you have a deficit of a couple of thousand reads?0 -

The thing is that it does not take me 30 minutes to write a review at all. I write for a living, so I am used to writing quickly and correctly. If I have thought about a review beforehand I can happily write in excess of 3-400 words in about eight minutes, including all the features that one would expect from a review. Due to this, it is possible for me to read around as well.
What I think is really daft however, is that we are rewarded when other members read our posts. Surely, it is better for dooyoo to attract readers that are not members of the site?! It also seems a little false to go reading other people's reviews just because you feel like you need to keep your reads up. Where is the point in doing that for dooyoo? I just find it hard to see why they pay out... not that I'm complaining !0 -
Hi everyone thanks for this thread i'm new to dooyoo and have written two reviews in two days so far but I have a question. I believe it is in the rules that it is ok to use your own reviews from other sites I've been writing a lot for helphound and was thinking to add these reviews to Dooyoo but how is this viewed by members will this make me unpopular. I don't intend to upload them all at once may 1 or 2 a day. Can anyone offer advice please. For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Yes it is fine to post your own reviews from other sites. If you posted them all at once, then I would not say it would make you "unpopular" with other members, but most will simply skip over your reviews and you will not get many reads. You would probably be in single figures for each review. Members participating in the community can expect on average 50 to 100 reads per review. I personally would leave it a couple of days between reviews but one or two a day is better than 20 a day I suppose.0 -

Thanks for the advice. I'm trying to get involved in dooyoo I've been reading reviews and adding comments. It's fine to use your reviews from other sites, but I'd just add at the end of the review something like:
'Also on helphound under same username'
for example so that anyone searching the internet would know that it was your work and not just copied from someone else0
