Hi all, just been catching up on the post's since i was last on - you all seem to be doing really well! love reading what your all upto, it's a great motivator.
Well, not had too bad a week food wise, i got rosies for mother's day, unfortunately the chocolate kind, LOL! I made a point of sharing them, and only having a couple every day. They are gone now, so that's that, phew! no more temptation :0).
Not sure what the weigh-in will be like tomorrow, TOTM still hasn't come but not feeling bloated anymore - Yay!
Anyway, finger's and toes crossed for 2moro - aiming for 1LB to reach my 1.5 stone loss, hopefully i will achieve it this week, i will, i will, i will!!!
See you 2moro. XX:money::money::money::money:
I love to save money0 -
I LOST 2LBS!!!!!!!!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:j
I am soooo chuffed. Only got 3lbs to go to my 10% body weight loss. Total so far for March 3.5lbs. I won't be weighed until 2nd April, so will weigh myself on Tuesday and give a final total. Not expecting 7lbs but I am going to try my hardest to get as near as I can.
You lot are certainly good for the soul!
Tara, thanks for your thoughts and wishes, loving the car, at the moment. DD's tooth looks abit risky, but could have been soo much worse.
Anyway, really tired so off to bedsky. Well done all the losers - inches as well as pounds.Need to sort my life out! :T0 -
taffy - well done you, you must be soooo chuffed!!!!!!!!!!!!! :j:j Fingers crossed for DD's tooth xoxo
poshstock, well done on the restraint with the choccies! Best of luck with the weigh in, looking forward to hearing how it goes.
I didn't get to go for a walk, ah well never mind. Dinner was a healthy veg stir fry (no noodles/rice for me, was feeling very virtuous) but then I got the munchies and had a slice of toast with butter - naughty!!I'm going to be extra good tomorrow. Unfortunately I will get even less exercise than today - I'm being picked up by a colleague to go to a work meeting first thing, then will just manage a walk home and that's all (too much to do, need to go to post office and bank at lunchtime, ugh boring). I will have to adjust my food intake to reflect the fact that I'll be burning fewer calories...

I have worked really hard on my aerobic dancing this week and done really well with the healthy eating too and have lost another 3lbs this week :j That makes 8 pounds in total for March :j
Pity I am so exhausted from dancing I am too tired to go out and buy a size smaller trousers as these are falling off me now :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Well done taffy and fluffybishop!! That's great news!! :T :A :j :T
My diet and exercise regime has come to a complete hault! Working all these extra hours is really killing me! Luckily I'm only doing the Mon/Tue nights for another week - so I'll get my backside into gear properly after that (oh if only I had a £ - or even lost a lb!! for every time I've said that!!).
Gillz - thanks for the info on the polefit - I'm thinking I might give it a go! Not 'til the week after next though, as every nights pretty much booked out for next week!
I'm out for dinner tonight and Sunday, and working all weekend - so I'll try to be good the rest of the time, but defo not hoping for miracles!!
On a major plus point for me though - we bought our bridesmaids dresses a few weeks back, and mine was a nice comfy size 12 - I tried to other b/maids dress on last night - and I'm now (finally) a nice svelte size 10!! Whoo Hoo!! - Not a mahor achievement I know - but I've been aiming towards being a 10 for this wedding for the last year - and it looks as though I might just have achieved it!:A

crapwithmoney, you are doing brilliantly! I'm sure fitting into those size 10 dresses has given you an enormous lift. And you are tall too (lucky girl!).
BTW, does anyone get a bit puzzled by those 'before and after' weight loss stories in the media, esp the Daily Mail? They always claim that so and so has slimmed down to size 8, but when you look at them they couldn't possibly be an 8! For example, there was a woman (the 'credit crunch diet' one) on the DM website who went from size 20 can't remember the weight) to 10 stone and they claimed that she was a size 8! There is no way she was an 8, just by looking at her. And she was 5'3" (same height as me, and I'm 9st5lbs and a size 10).
They should be truthful, getting down to 10 stone was achievement enough, why not say that she went from size 20 to size 12? It's like saying that only size 8 is praiseworthy. Vanessa Feltz was another one - she went down from about size 24 to size 16 but the papers claimed that she was a 12 - yeah right!!! :rotfl: It just bugs me as it is very confusing for some people and downright dishonest.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I think you are right Tara - more to the point it is dispiriting and can turn people away from dieting - if you are a size 26 (as I am) to be told that someone lost less weight than you need to and got into a size 8 well I am inclined to think "I can never do that - there is no point in even trying", whereas being told someone got to a size 14/16 (and therefore able to shop in "normal" clothes shops) is a boost!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup
