Polefit is an exercise class, using pole dancing moves, no sleazy dancing or gyrating up the pole lol. Its really hard, and very toning but need to do cardio to burn fat, Im advanced now so do things like go upside down and hang off the pole with one leg :T Can be very hard but I like a challenge
Most cites have pole fitness classes, Im in glasgow tho.
ooohhhh - Gillz, I'm in Glasgow too - hope you don't mind me asking - but where/when are they on?
I'm organising my sis-in-law to be's hen do at the mo, and as part of the day she wants to go for pole dancing lessons. We've got that bit sorted - but I was thinking I'd like to squeeze in a wee bit of practice beforehand since I'm generally lil miss unco-ordinated!Plus if it helps burn a few lbs before the wedding I'd not be complaining!

Hi everyone. Sorry not been around much this week. Food wise, not too bad, not brilliant so will see what the weigh in has in store tonight.
Had lots of homework - 4 assignments! Friday the car failed its MOT £600!!!! so we've been frantically looking for a new one, MOT runs out on Sat. Got one last night, Ford Focus £1500. Not bad but it used lots of our Disneyland savings!!!!
DD2 fell over at swimming on Sat, straight onto her mouth. Pushed one of front teeth back, nearly came though her gum, blood everywhere. Tooth is wobbly, turned abit and dropped abit to. Dentist said hopefully should stay, but it has started turning grey, so that doesn't look good.
All in all a very quiet week!!!!!!!
Well done to everyone who has lost or sts.
Will update later with my weight loss (fingers crossed)Need to sort my life out! :T0 -

G'day everyone!
Looks like everyone has been having a busy week.. hope we're all losing weight!
Well.... i went to weightwatchers on monday, not tooo impressed with the meeting. Most of the time went on weighing people in (their scales confirmed I really am 13.7stone!!) and then some chatting - no real tips or advice or anything really. But it was the free registation and class so i gave it a go.
Went to the Gym for an induction on tuesday - finallly!! - and been this morning for a session and a Body Balance class. DD went into the creche and loved it, so that's good too.
Came home and just for the heck of it got on the scales at home... 13stone 2lbs!! These same scales told me i was 13stone 7 on Sunday....so can i really have lost 5lbs in 4 days???
I have been eating healthily within the WW fast start book (18points) and no junk food - other than 1 packet of French Fries and 2 small Roses since Monday. If it is real, by heck i'll keep going!!!
Got me so motivated I may even walk to pick up the kids from school today, even though i'm tired from the gym, but fresh air will do me good and DD will go to sleep in her pushchair, hopefully!
How come you always want to believe the scales when you think you may have lost weight, but they "never work properly" when you've put weight on???!
I'm feeling really motivated at the moment, and hope i can keep it up. DH weighed himself this morning and has lost almost a stone since the last time he weighed himself....which puts the pressure on me. I will not weigh more than my husband. EVER!
Have a brilliant day everyone - i'm feeling on top of the world right now...WAHHEEY!!0 -
Hi everyone!
taffy, sorry to hear about all your recent problems, hope the new car gives you many years of happy safe motoring and DD's tooth gets fixed! :A
plzhelpmesave, great news about the 5lb loss!!!!!! It can happen sometimes, you can hit a plateau and then it can suddenly drop off. :T It is fantastic, you've worked hard and you deserve it. Keep that motivation going!!
As for me, I am 60.5kg today, the same weight as on 1 March! But I look totally different! I am definitely slimmer, my clothes are getting looser, my legs are more toned, I'm losing my 'back fat' and OH is really noticing! So what gives??
It must be because I'm building up muscle and losing fat with all the exercise. Which is fab. Hey, I'll take this over losing lbs and not inches!! I'm in a really good mood at the mo, I just feel like my hard work is finally starting to pay off. I still have a way to go but I'm making good progress. So I should be  about the numbers on the scales but instead I am :j :j :j !!!
I won't fit in much exercise today (going to visit OH's mum after work - by car) but we all deserve a day off sometimes.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Another brisk walk for the shops for me today and a near run back because of the bloomin' weather:mad:
Salad for lunch - made with food found in the fridge
Plus I had a bit of sneaky (sneaky is chocolate) - I have a bar of very dark choc with cherries in it courtesy of Green & Blacks but it is so rich you don't need much so I treat it as food, I bought it on Monday and I have half a bar left so it should last me into next week.
Dinner last night was heated up burger with new salad leaves (the chips I am afraid got chucked).
I have another way of losing weight - jigging about, I have some new music CDs some of them dance stuff by Ministry of Sound so I jig and gyrate around the room (its a good job no-one can see me because its not a pretty sight:eek: ).
Things feel thinner and looser:j0 -
oh well! i went to boots and weighed myself on the same scales as last time and guess what? i haven't lost even an ounce! i have been cycling and walking all week and stuck really well to my calorie allowance upped my veg intake etc. thought i had done really well even thought my clothes were slightly looser but oh well! feel a bit flat now.:rotfl:"that grady! won't sit next to a black child in church! but eats eggs, shoot right out a chickens !!!!!!" from fried green tomatoes:rotfl::smileyheaMSE is where my friends live :smileyhea0

Hi everyone, I have had a good day of eating today. Seem to get the munchies when I sit on my computer and my youngest daughter has her nap! So today I bought dried cranberries, sunflower seeds and almonds and put them in a small dish next to me to nibble on. It worked well as I am not hungry and it saved me grabbing crisps/chocs/biccies lol.
Tara747 I kept away from the biccies yesterday, thanks and I also went to the gym although I didn't burn 300 cals like you! How on earth do you manage that? I am certainly not fit enough lol. Sounds like your exercise is going really well, so keep it up. Well doneStacyl1977:EasterBun0 -
smallpackages, don't worry about the number on the scales if your clothes are getting looser, I should be feeling a total failure right now as I am the same weight as on 1 March but I am celebrating fitting into stuff I couldn't zip up a few months ago!!!! :j You are doing really well. Maybe weigh in again in 3-4 days so you don't have to wait a whole week to see if anything has come off? Whatever you do, keep up the momentum and it WILL happen! :A
stacy, well done on staying away from the biccies and buying in healthy snacks! :T
Horace, good for you chucking the chips and doing so much 'jigging about'!I'm glad your clothes are getting looser too.
We're now visiting OH's mum later this evening so I got my walk home, yay. I'd like to go walking this evening but we'll have to see.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
