Morning everyone, or is it afternoon now... or is everyone still in bed??
We're turning into a right bunch of losers! MUst be a mad panic as deadline comes up... only 3 days to go...or is it 2 now???
Had a hectic day yesterday and another one today out and about and doing family stuff. Had another good day yesterday, and was reallly good with my food. There's a part of me that is waiting for me to give up and start gorging, and another part that is going into "my body is a temple" kind of mode! I'm limiting junky foods to very very small amounts, e.g. one or two small roses chocolate instead of the half a box i would have had a couple of weeks ago.
Did a few minutes on the Orbitrek and wasn't as puffed out as i'd have expected to be,so must be getting a bit fitter! Will do my bestest to go swimming tomorrow - if i can get someone to look after DD for an hour or so, and then gym twice this week. It's amazing how just thinking about going to the gym makes you feel fitter and better.... easy to say after only one session so far!
Hope everyone's having a nice lazy sunday!0 -
Hello, I'd like to join you all for April. I had major surgery for an longstanding digestion problem 4 weeks ago and found this friendly thread while tucked up in bed getting better. Now I feel like a different person and want to lose weight and get fit.
Enjoy what's left of Sunday and I'm really looking forward to joining in next month.0 -
Afternoon all,
Glad to hear your all doing really well, i wish i could say the same thing for me:rolleyes:. I got myself all motivated to start my running and i've gone and done my back in AGAIN!!! Me and my mum were meant to be starting this week but there's no way i'll be doing any exercise any time soon, i'm gutted. My boss aint too impressed either. I worked all day friday in total agony, i was in tears by the time i got home. I'm at the dr's tomoro so hopefully he'll be able to give me or do something to help with the pain.
cwm - are you still following sw? Whats the new plan like? My friend is trying to convince me to go to class with her - like i've said before tho, i know it works coz i lost 2st following it before but last time i tried i ended up heavier

Afternoon all!! :hello:
How are you all today? You all have a good weekend?
I weighed in this morning, and lost 1lb!Really not sure how as I wasn't even thinking about eating well/exercising!! I think that takes me to a total of 3lbs this month - which isn't quite the half stone I was hoping for - but it's going in the right direction at least! 8 more lbs to go - so I'm gonna have a right good go at it in April and try shift as much of that as I can!!
Nickynoo / Gillz - yeah I'm still following Slimming World, although if I'm honest I don't ever do it 100%. I'm following the basic principles of limiting the amount of bread and milk I have, always (or mostly) eating healthy freshly prepared food rather than processed, trying to eat more fruit/veg etc..... But I always end up with at least one day a week where I'm not even thinking about it, like if I go out for a drink with the girls I'm not disciplined enough (esp after a few vodka's) to count how many syns I'm having - I just write it off and start again the next day.
I think I've just been doing it so long now, that I quite often make the healthier choice without even realising I'm doing it - like I very rarely ever have white bread now, where that used to be the first thing I'd reach for as a snack when I was hungry. But then if I did it properly it probably wouldn't have taken me so long to lose the weight that I have.
I haven't tried the new plan, and I don't go to classes. Gillz, I use this thread and the Slimming World to keep me motivated - it's defo worth at least going along to the class and getting the books etc to figure out how to do it - and if you need to have the class to go to as motivation to stick to it, then I definitely think it's worth the money - but I make do with using the 2 threads and just plod along myself! It definitely works - this time last year I was bursting out of my size 14 trousers - and I'm now just fitting into a 10 - plus the scales look a little better too!
xx
PS Gillz - I think I'm gonna give the polefit a try next week - I've just about convinced a few of the girls to come along with me!0 -
Hi All you lovely slimmers-to-be,
I am preparing myself for the April challenge. I am going to Slimming World today to get the mags and prepare the menu plan tomorrow.
I have completely fallen off the track this past 2 weeks. Even though I haven't got so much to lose, i'd be happy with 10 lb, it's soooooo hard to keep that weight off!!!
It's on, off, on, off. But when I lose direction I have a slurge on everything naughty!!!
So I'll check in tomorrow for any advice.
