    Hi everyone,

I've been so busy this past week (suddenly realised that I need to get my bum in gear and look for a new job if I don't want to be unemployed at the start of June!) I feel as though I've neglected the thread - I'm so sorry everyone! Hope you are all doing well, hi to everyone new :hello:

According to the wii fit I haven't lost anything this week but my bmi has gone down. OH said that unless I've grown (highly unlikely, I'm forever going to be a shorty!) I must have lost something so I'm guessing it's around half a lb. Does that count towards weight loss?

The lovely weather this week has reinforced my determination to lose weight for the summer, that and the wedding invitation from OH's brother that has dropped through the door today! So...I've taken the plunge and bought the Davina super body workout dvd. I'm hoping that if I do that a good few times a week, continue on the wii fit, cycling every day and eating healthily, the weight will drop off!! Hmmm, one can hope!!!

    xx

littleemmie, have a look at the weight graph on wiifit, it will tell you what your weight was - and yes, half pound counts, that means you've burnt off 1750 more calories than you've eaten, so well done!

I'm up to 3 weeks with no chocolate now,:j and I even spied non chocolate sweets in the vending machine at work today and didn't buy them (the juice vending machine is next to sweet machine:rolleyes: ) I just bought my diet coke and walked away. It helped that I'd only taken 50p to the machine.;)

will post my update this Saturday morning, but so far the week is progressing well, I've not had too many snacks at all.

crapwithmoney - well done on the 1lb loss (and being halfway to your target :T ) and here's to lo-cal drinks all weekend at those birthday parties!! :D

claire, that is brilliant, keep at it girl! :T

littleemmie, good luck with the job hunting and the Davina DVD! :j

ailuro, well done on staying away from chocolate temptation, you are inspiring me. I've had a few slip ups in the past few days (the shame!!!!! :o ), please give me a HUGE kick up the bum and tell me off as I really should not be falling off the wagon during Lent.

I've managed to fit in around 3 hours' walking today, am very pleased with that. I've eaten ok as well, not great but better than yesterday and the day before! Goodnight all and here's to a good day tomorrow. I am so enjoying the sunshine at the mo, it's good to see signs of spring! :A

Hey everyone I just thought I would check in and say well done on all the weight loss. I am still really ill, it is taking it's toll now but the kids are getting better so there is hope for me yet! Hopefully I will be better soon, I am actually really looking forward to exercising again.

ailuro - thanks for the reassurance, but (1) I am meant to be off the stuff for Lent :o and (2) it really is a trigger food for me. I find it very hard to have 'just a little'.

kjmtidea - sorry to hear you're still sick, poor thing! Big hugs to you xo :A

I'm still 60.5kg this morning, which is good! Here's to a virtuous day of healthy eating and exercise! :T

Hi, my back is getting much better, thanks for asking. Will have to go back to the hospital in a couple of weeks, but that will hopefully be nothing.
Weigh in today, really not very confident about it. Need to go to the bank for work today, so will put up with the freezing winds and walk - 1½ mile round trip, I try to do this in 15 minutes, but as I have to cross some busy roads it all depends on traffic lights!
Well done everyone who has lost/stayed the same, hope I'm one of you tonight!!
Need to sort my life out! :T
  • Good luck Taffy - I'm sure you'll be fine!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Tara - don't beat yourself up over a few bars of chocolate! - You've had a very stressful week - so it's understandable you'd have a wee slip or 2! You've done really well to still keep up with the exercise and generally eating ok with everything else that's going on - so methinks you deserve a big pat on the back!!

Claire - well done on the weightloss!! :T Some positive vibes coming right back your way!! - Hope you get back to being a positive bunny soon - 10.5lbs in 6 or so weeks is no mean feat! So you defo have no need to be feeling fat!!

Littleemmie - :hello: Good luck with the DVD! You'll need to let us know how you get on! The only one I've ever bought was the Natalie Cassidy one - but I can't say I found it to be overly taxing!!

Ailuro - Can you send some of that willpower out to the rest of us please?! ;) Well done on lasting so long! - I wish I'd bothered to give something up for lent!

KJ - Sorry to hear you're still not feeling good - hope you get better soon!!

    xx

PS an ok day for me yesterday - did well foodwise all day - but had a wee slip up after dinner - I was still really hugnry, so I had 2 slices of white bread with Lurpak butter on them, then a couple of crackerbreads! Not great - but in the grand scheme of things, it's not that bad either, so I'm just gonna forget it and move on! I've had a banana and an orange for brekkie - so I'm starting the day of ok - we'll see how it goes from here....... ;)
  • It's very quiet in here today - are you all busy out exercising in the sun? ;)

Does anyone have any idea of something remotely healthy I can eat in Wagamama's? My boyfriend has decided he's taking me there tonight - and I don't want to waste what's been a relatively good week so far! :D

I always have the chicken katsu curry - since it's so yummy - but i'm guessing it's not the healthiest, since it's breaded fried chicken, with curry sauce! (mmmmm ....... I'm hungry just thinking about it!)

I might suggest we walk there and back to squeeze in some fresh air and a bit of exercise!!

    xx

crapwithmoney, thanks for the positive words. I really didn't do well eating-wise between Saturday and Tuesday, but hey ho! I am back on the wagon good and proper now.
