The calorie count site is brilliant (see first post). It has helped me no end, and having a visual graph of my weight loss (and gains) over the past few months does spur me on and help me keep focussed. So it is worth checking it out.
Good luck!
Yep I agree with LazyDaisy! Calorie count is wonderful - it lets me know how much I am UNDEReating (I tend to go the other way to most people with weight problems)
Speaking of which I had better put my breakfast salad into it!Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

well i really had a harsh word with myself today. so have been for two cycles and stuck to my diet for the first time in years and feel so much better. also on a seperate note i popped into the library when i was out and got a really good book on depression which makes sense to me so a good day today. i have been slouching in my comfort zone for months distracting myself with tv so today was a big step:rotfl:"that grady! won't sit next to a black child in church! but eats eggs, shoot right out a chickens !!!!!!" from fried green tomatoes:rotfl::smileyheaMSE is where my friends live :smileyhea0

Hello all, sorry I havent been around since Friday night. OH'S mum was hospitalised on Sat, they are still doing tests on her. So it's been a very hectic and tiring few days. I have been very bad foodwise, not eating that much but it's all been hospital canteen junk and takeaway sandwiches which are full of calories. I managed to do a little exercise, here's last week's diary:
Monday
30 minute walk to work
33 flights of stairs
30 minutes on the treadmill - 300 calories
30 minute walk home
30 minutes energetic housework (can I count this? LOL)
Tuesday
30 minute walk to work
14 flights of stairs
30 minute walk home
1 hour walk with friend
Wednesday
30 minute walk to work
17 flights of stairs
30 minutes on the treadmill - 300 calories
30 minute walk home
Thursday
30 minute walk to work
5 flights of stairs
30 minute walk home
1.5 hour walk with OH
Friday
30 minute walk to work
26 minutes on the treadmill - 325 calories
14 flights of stairs
30 minute walk home
Saturday
1 hour walk (pre dash to hospital)
Sunday
40 minute walk
I haven't weighed in either, needless to say! So I will do that tomorrow. I skimmed through all your posts, sorry I haven't replied individually but you are all doing so well and keeping each other's spirits up, it is good to see. I'll hopefully be on here again tomorrow (have missed you all!). Goodnight xo

Tara - so sorry about your mum. I really hope all is well. I know exactly how you are feeling as my mum was admitted last June - they did not know what it was and were constintly doing tests. It is so easy to just eat crap in those canteens and when on the run - try to make good food choices.
Sorry I havew not posted much over the last number of days. I've been feeling very down and eating loads! Thank you for all the posts re my last post - you are all very kind and are right. I need to pull myself together and get on with things.
Weigh day for me this morning - stayed the same. Well thank goodness for that! I'm try and be better today (and the rest of the week) and see what happens.
Good luck everyone.0
