Personally I'd find it useful to have a Tesco only board (similar to the Argos one).

Then each [new] misprice could have it's own thread and people could post a "got at xxx store" on the thread to keep it alive. Any out of date misprices would simply drop off, and you could see at a glance which misprices were isolated stores, or national.

Hey perhaps a Boots only board would also be useful as there seem to be many more Tesco and Boots related postings than Argos ones.

I'm with redfox on this one. We had this debate about a year ago and the majority of users asked redfox to go with the arrangement that is now in place.

Surely, this is the thread to inform people that you're still able to get an item that was posted on the misprice thread a week ago. You're able to discuss it as others can mention it's not at their store anymore for whatever reason so people can see Tesco are sorting out some misprices, but not bothering with others nationally.

As for questions on other thread, I quite often copy them over here and answer them, and pm the author of the question who isn't yet aware of this thread and point them in its direction so they can continue to discuss without creating more work for Redfox.

As for the Tesco board, I too would love one as there are so many Tesco threads. I think the Argos board should either be ditched or a Boots board and Tesco board added as it's a bit of a double standard IMO, but as Redfox said you can't please everyone all the time.

Spak I have great respect for your opinions on the board & really dont want to get into an arguement!

Personally I dont think Tesco is, thats my opinion created from experience, such as having worked in retail for over 5years with a number of companies!!

No offence intended but I'm entitled to my opinion as you are to yours!

No need to argue and a good debate is a nice workout for the mind somtimes.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion and more than entitled to voice it!

I would be interested to learn what you find about tesco that is of ill repute, the question is simply bourne out of curiosity from someone who has worked for tesco for rather a long time and seen no real signs of such!!

I agree with you bylromarha, but I think the problem is that many people have simply given up reading the discussion thread as it’s full of arguing. People arguing over greediness, arguing over staff and now even arguing over the actual thread! Its so hard to just find some actual discussion regarding a misprice in amongst all the rubbish.

If we want a solution IMHO we should have 3 threads-

    Tesco Misprices Only
    Tesco Misprices Discussion Only
    Tesco Misprices Arguing Only

    Then everyone would be happy!

Can I just ask a question?
When there are misprices on the price per kg, how do you go about getting a r&r? Do you just state that the price per kg is cheaper on the shelf than on the pack?

    YES

Sometimes you will then have to explain why it is an overcharge since a lot of the CS can't grasp why your complaining when you have been charged what is on the label! I usually offer to show them the SEL and then you can say you have been charge £x kg when it should be £x .

YIPPEE YIPPEE YIPPEE OMG! I have just done my 1st r'n'r. All of it was meat - sirloin steaks, rump steaks, braising steak, pork chops and lamb chops. It could have been so much more but I knew my freezer was quite full so just picked up what I fancied for meals! Because it was my first time after reading this thread for weeks, my nerves were going, I was shaking, so I double checked it all to make sure I was not going to make a mistake and get embarassed. C/S was very nice, called meat manager over to check it all out - Im suprised he didnt need a stretcher because nearly all his Dept was wrong except for 25% chicken and ready priced mince! R'n'R no problem (£24.00) and some nice meals coming up. Thanx Mr T. :j

    Dude,

    I'm pleased for you.

    I really am.

    Honest.

But did post 537 not make sense?

Perhaps an interactive word game instead?

Make a sentence out of the following words:

    "Please Topic Stay On!" :p

I'm sure Redfox will do the decent thing to our posts ;)

I'll be different and disagree. This is a thread to discuss the misprice policy, nor specific misprices. As such it can include arguments on how that policy may be taken advantage of, and moral/legal discussions on price labelling and "R+R Hunting".
Misprice availability is the domain of the other thread.
    Can I help?

Exactly, the discussion is on the policy etc., not individual misprices.

"Is this the right room for an argument?"
    "I've told you once."

I agree with rdwarr, I think this thread is perfect for comments, criticsms, praise and information whilst the other should have all the posts regarding finds.

I quite like seeing follow-up finds as it makes it more obvious that it is a widescale mistake and not a one off.

The thread is called "Tesco misprices thread II - please only post misprices here ( 1 2 3 ... Last Page ) " and not "new finds only."

I also find it bizarre that Tesco and particularly Boots don't have their own sections to cover misprices, comments, frozen, reductions. Both of these seem to have far more hits than Argos board to me.

I appreciate the extra work this might entail for the mods so realise it may not be possible.
