Dude - Post 537 did make perfect sense to me but as I interpret this thread, I think that if we post whatever we get as R'n'R here, then people will be able to see what misprices are current and be able to look out for them. I am wary of posting on the 'Discussion' thread because it apears to me that on there if you do post what you have been refunded etc you get criticized as being a 'grabber'. Also that post has got sooooo political in its discussion it makes me depressed to read it at the moment, it reads just like an internal memo slot for Tesco employees argung the toss about how they interpret R'n'R. But as I see misprice is misprice if found to be proven.

  • I don't know whether this is the right place for my post. But I love reading these Tesco threads about mis-prices and would love to do it. But how do you all go about it? Do you make a list keep anote of what the shelve price was then check your till receipt?
I would love to know so I can start doing it!

I'll be different and disagree. This is a thread to discuss the misprice policy, nor specific misprices. As such it can include arguments on how that policy may be taken advantage of, and moral/legal discussions on price labelling and "R+R Hunting".
Misprice availability is the domain of the other thread.

    Well you would, wouldn't you?;)

I think you're getting too much caught up in the titles...the whole idea when redfox set these threads up was that one thread was solely for posting new misprices people had found across the country to make that short, snappy, easy info for all to access to go and grab at their local Tesco ASAP.

This thread was set up to filter out all the discussion (about anything and everything) that was taking place on that thread as people were missing the bargains. I remember posting I got free annual family travel insurance last year, I came back to the thread a day later, 147 posts later, and only 2 of those 147 posted about new misprices.

Maybe if you think of this thread entitled "Tesco misprice discussion area", then that conveys more of what it was set up to do rather than specifics of the policy itself.

why not just have two threads... Tesco misprices only, and Tesco general discussion. If we can't post general tesco chat on the misprice board, and we can only put "misprice discussion" on this one than where shall we stick the rest? (Suggestions on a postcard...) Because, regardless of what this thread is called, people want to chat, and are chatting about Tesco in general, whether it's about staff attitudes, policies, what you got as a misprice or even if you just need to ask a question. Surely there's room for all of it on here. We need a place where people, especially newbies, can feel free to post any Tesco discussion / question and not have to worry about being blasted for changing or going off topic. Let's try and be tolerant, we should be helping each other as fellow consumers. After all, we were all newbies once... right???

ok, folks, I've changed the title of this thread slightly so it doesn't just say "policy discussion area". So now we've got the Misprices only thread (which is just for posting new misprices) and the Tesco Discussion thread which is for all other posts about the policy, the misprices, the CS, etc etc etc.

It's only a single word removed but if that is what has been causing confusion then it's best that it's gone :)

Which also means - to clarify - that if you have been overcharged by Tesco for goods - Tesco will REFUND your money and you RETAIN the goods.
