Tesco misprices discussion area part 4

I had a genuine misprice at the Irvine store last week, I had to wait over 30 minutes to get a refund. A smart !!!!!! of a manager (wee young guy just started shaving)tried to prove me wrong.
I soon put him right and sent him back to his office with his tale between his legs.
However due to his attitude I will try and screw them for every misprice I can.
An apology would have been nice and saved them a fortune in the coming weeks0 -
That's not quite what I meant about moving...
If Tesco fail to be co-operative when they have clearly overcharged, I would advise everyone to be polite, insist on speaking to the manager, call HO if refused by the manager, and Trading Standards if refused by HO.
It is anti-competitive practice for Tesco to trade on a promise they are not prepared to keep. If they take the policy away, I can't see a sudden magical improvement in price integrity, so I would imagine we would see a sharp rise in the numbers of reports to TS for overcharging, and the associated fines.0 -

Can't see Tesco ever taking this policy away. look how much Sainsburys and co would make of it..."Tesco can't guarantee their prices being correct anymore" kind of thing.
Even if Tesco did remove the policy, not sure that reports to TS would increase. How many times have people been overcharged in Sainsburys, Asda etc and taken it to TS? They don't have the R + R policy, so most people don't bother as it isn't worth their time or effort to go through that entire process for the sake of 1p difference.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Am scewing them the proverbial 3 times a week for all the hassle T's CS have given us and when I see them try to defend it on Mses (our site here), it just makes me put word round all the more in every pub I go into about T. We travel a lot through work and always calling at different T.
Mr. T, you gave us a challenge to get what we could and then told us we couldnt have it. Maybe if your employees were not trying to defend you on this site then I would not get such a buzz from it. We're all going to take you to cleaners over it. Good hunting everybody!!!!!!!0 -

Did I hear you say "FRIENDLY"?????????.....I think not.0 -
After the reply to my quote in #Post 980 - I feel thoroughly vindicated that my comments WERE on the right track and that most of the people using this forum DO object to Tesco employees sticking their nose in and trying to defend Tesco policies and practices and then getting all upset and uptight when somebody challenges their jobsworth attitude. I for one dont care how a barcode is supposed to look and which number relates to the product on the shelf, etc. If a SEL tells me a price and the product displayed relates to it by name and type and I am overcharged then it is a MISPRICE - simple or what? :mad:DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

Agreed, but surely the point of the "misprice board" is to let other MSErs know what products are mispriced. GRFC1972,has now openly come out and said what i & many others suspected that MR T monitors the misprices board & amends misprices accordingly. Therefore it follows that it is counter productive to post any misprices on the other board imho.0 -
