Tesco misprices discussion area part 4

I think that it is very bad when consumers are overcharged on things they buy. I think that the offending stores should probably be reported to trading standards ... IF it is obviously deliberate overcharging.
HOWEVER, I also think that if Tesco is prepared to continually overcharge me for my shopping, and they are prepared to have the R & R policy in place, then I am quite prepared to use it to my advantage. I make no bones about the fact that when I go to Tesco for my shopping I deliberately look for misprices, I happily scan the items to check first... even though i know there are 74 security cameras in my local store. I am quite prepared to stand and wait at the CS desk for half an hour (minimum usually!) while they sort my R & R out. I go out of my way to make sure I am always polite to the staff, and then thank them for their help before I leave. Why would I want to be mean to someone who is giving me something for free? Don't bite the hand that feeds (literally in this case). Of course I have seen them whispering to one another while I am at the CS desk, and last week overheard one saying to another... "Do you think that's all genuine?" as she nodded in my direction. ... I don't mind at all, they can think what they like.
No doubt, like some of the staff who post on this thread, they are angry about it... maybe they think it is morally wrong or an "abuse" of policy, maybe they've had their !!!!!! kicked from the boss because it was on their department, maybe they are jealous because they don't / can't do it. Who knows.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you really don't like Tesco, then vote with your feet and don't shop there. If you aren't prepared to accept that everyone is entitled to their opinion (yes, even staff) then don't read this thread.
If you are like me and you know a good thing when you see it then read this thread, go to Tesco, fill your boots, be polite, get your goodies and enjoy it while it lasts. I love going to Tesco, even if they don't love me.

Yes, it will go through at the pack price unless it has been over stickered (obvious to tell, looks like a reduction label). And yes, that would be an R & R if the SEL price per weight does not match the pack price per weight.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Ok, I'm confused....is it just me or have the last 20 or so posts just vanished off the bottom of this thread?Who or what was I before you came in to my life

some posts have been removed as the thread was getting very argumentative and that isn't what this thread is for.
Thanks0 -

Thanks
Ok, that makes sense...just for the record, I did not feel it was argumentative, just healthy discusion. So I know for the future, were any of my posts reported as spam, offensive, racist or libelous?Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Careful you don't express an opinion, remember this only a discussion thread!
I wasn't trying to be argumentative just clarifying what I meant, but seeing as my posts get removed from this thread and the other thread on misprices when similar posts don't, perhaps I'll stop posting.0 -
Well, I, for one, was glad that I got to read the posts before they were deleted as I found them very interesting.....from both sides. Censorship is truly alive and well. Someone once told me that the word in German for discussion is the same as the word for argument......0
