If McAfee has expired then yes, uninstall it, it's just filling up disk space and cluttering up your system. Do the same for any other programs you don't use, it all helps. But don't uninstall anything you're not sure about.
Once HJT is sorted and Avast is run we will be interested to see if your system is performing any better. If it isn't then it's baa-baa time I'm afraid...

She's already run MalwareBytes and Superantispyware, see earlier posts. At least I think she has, I'm a little confused now (and suspect I'm not the only one).
What about this e-Mule program that she posted the log from earlier? We've had sheep and goats in this thread, now it seems the donkeys have arrived too...
