Am I right to understand that I will rufund her cost but not the postage?
Unfortunately with Amazon you must return the entire payment she originally made to you, but you do not have to reimburse her postage for return unless she is claiming item is damaged or not as described.
Unfairly as well that refund will show as a default on your seller matrix, so make sure you mark it as 'buyer returns' or whatever the correct option is on the refund so you can argue with Amazon about it not counting if you ever get into problems with statistics and returns.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Maybe its a combination of the fact its toys and that we are a childrens charity selling on there - sales are still fab with 19 in the last 24 hours. Yesterday was manic wrapping parcels - it took two of us ages to do them all. Need to invest in some good packing materials as we are running low.
becky004 - those are very good figures. We're not doing so well on books at the moment. Just 3 out of about 70 of our most recent sales have been books
I haven't sold a single toy, in fact the last lot went quickly on ebay instead.
I did sell 35 books in a 4 day period though which was great, but they were a completely new line of stock and I bought them specifically as I could see I could turn a very quick profit on them if I sold them now. I have got a further order of the same books to be collected from London, but am trying to cancel it now as my sales just stopped entirely and I can't risk being left with these books once Christmas passes.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Sorry again Soolin, what if she sends it and it doesn`t arrive? Is she meant to send it recorded just to be on the safe side?
Just found it you are right. If it was more than 7 days from delivery then I would not have to refund the shiping charge.
Thanks a lot.0 -

Strictly speaking you only refund when you get it back so tracking would protect the buyer, but frankly Amazon are a law unto themselves and often refund willy nilly when it goes to an A-Z claim.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I tend to only mark as despatched once the PO have it, I am a bit of a worrier and fear that if I marked something as despatched in the morning and planned to take it to the PO in the afternoon that something dreadful might happen to stop me. Stupid I know. The only time i do mark as despatched otherwise is where I am working really really late and am taking the items to the main PO on my walk to the train station. Then I;ll mark them as despatched just before I leave as otherwise it wouldn't be until the next day.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I totally agree. I only mark as dispatched when it truly has been or I am going straight to the post box.I too fear the cat or kids may damage the book prior to being sent!0

When sending work parcels I mark as dispatched before sending them to the PO but they are wrapped, paid for and in the sack ready to be taken to the sorting offce just a couple of hours later before I do mark them sentNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550

Blimey, I can't believe someone has sold some VHS videos. My mate has just dropped 8 binbags full to a charity shop, and another 8 into the tip.
Some really good advice for sellers on here. I'm glad I stopped-by.Never Knowingly Understood.
