He doesn't sell pallets anymore but still has some book listing programme that some sellers use and is apparently writing a book about how to sell on Amazon!!! So I guess he is there to promote those items but doesn't seem to give any advice on book selling.0

Just wondered if someone can tell me the logic behind this. I try not to get into the undercut people by 1 pence battles that seem to push the prices down.
I had a CD listed at about £6 that seemed to be the going price. One seller has now listed a copy at 1 pence. so undercuuting everyone by £6. So why undercut so much. If I was going to undercut I would keep it nearer other prices so at least I would have a chance of making a profit.
I just don't understand the logic0 -
I can think of a couple of possibilities. Firstly if the selelr has poor feedback they might be wanting a few quick and guaranteed sales to hide a neg. Secondly, there may have been another 1p one and the undercutting software has price matched it just as the other one sold.
daft though.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Apologies in advance for this really really dumb question
If I want to sell on Amazon do I have to pay a subscription?
I've had a look, but I find it quite hard to navigate, not sure if I strayed into the wrong area.
We wouldn't be selling much- just a few books and cds that could do with shifting really. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -
If you are just a casual seller then you pay no subscription to Amazon nor any listing fees. You just pay extra fees when item sells so make sure before you confirm listing anything that you check the total payment you will receive will cover post and packing. It all comes up on the final page before you confirm, it says something like 'if your item sells you will receive xxx for a Uk sale'. That price includes the postage credit.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I am experiencing the classic problem discussed here. As a small time seller a (n undeserved neutral) has taken my feedback down to 98% and I literally haven't sold anything since. I am quite shy generally and particularly about contacting a buyer to ask to withdraw but do feel i have to have a go. How much details do you go into i was going to just point out book would have been sent out within 24hours and postal delays outside my control but do you go into how this will negatively affect your business? don't want to sound like a hard luck story but it is a bit isn't it
. Also can you get into trouble - is it like coercing a buyer? I read Soolin has had some success so would appreciate any input from anyone as no sales in a fortnight is the worst ever!!
cheers everyone0 -
