    Hi Larlie,

that is annoying! Feedback is not as important on Amazon however having said that if you are a small seller a neutral which is effectively a negative can take your rating right down and it will take a lot of sales to recover. You have at least 2 options; you can email buyer and very politely explain that they seemed pleased with condition and service and book was cheapest listed at the time etc and would they cosider removing the feedback as you are sure they don't realise it counts as a neg and will affect sales, damage your business as a small seller etc. Give them instructions about how to remove f/b. They may not respond or remove the feedback in which case there's not much you can do.

You can also leave a response on your feedback page to their feedback for other buyers to read. Best to be polite even if you don't feel like it :p - say something like 'glad you were pleased with the condition of the book and the service you received - the book was the cheapest used listed on Amazon at the time'

    good luck

Thanks Teapot and Soolin for your advice. I've sent the buyer an email asking them to reconsider their feedback. If I don't hear back I will leave a reponse to their feedback as suggested.

I don't have a lot listed on Amazon to be honest, just some old university books I was trying hopefully to sell to make a little bit of extra cash (and space) before I move house.

    Thanks

Doesn't sound like great trading for you guys on Amazon, Sunday and Monday weren't great here but Thursday Friday and Saturday were some of my best days saleswise. My Play sales did stagnate tho so it all balances out.

I've forgotton what a sale is..I've been listing all day so fingers crossed I'll trigger a sale or more.

Bit of a book question for you all - it is sort of Amazon related!

A charity shop close to me is closing down and there are loads of books, probably 5,000.

They are looking at clearing the lot as I used to sell some books for them on Amazon they have asked me to look into clearing the lot.

Is there anything anybody can suggest? I understand Priory Books have gone, are there any firms that would take the whole lot?

    Many thanks!

If you cannot find a company I would recommend a quick ebay listing with collection only or maybe your local second hand bookshop

You might get a response if you post this on the seller connection board on Amazon - I think it would only be of interest to someone who was fairly nearby so mention the town/city when you post. Also, have they been sorted or categorised? If so mention that too.

You might even find a buyer here if you give a location

Thanks for the responses - the books are in Sheffield.

They haven't been sorted, it is a real mixture of paperbacks, textbooks etc. The shop would want all of them to be taken.

I'll have a look at the Amazon boards tomorrow.

Just read the daily update email and noticed that someone had mentioned that Priority Books are no longer about.

Had a quick look on google and the website has gone but on the Seller Board he is still there.

Does anyone know if he is still trading and just not selling to the public or has he finished trading and is still helping people with queries on the Sellers Board?
