And to helsbells, just appeal to your buyers nice side, and explain in a pleasant way that you did everything you could to get the item to them quickly and that feedback should be about you, not the royal mail.MFW - £79,349 outstanding Nov 2010

At 98% it is probably not your feedback that is causing sales to dry up. If it wasn't for the fact that I am still able to sell books on ebay I would have given up a while ago. I know things can be slow, but it's currently non existent now. Ebay was always my second string and I only ever list things to keep it ticking over book wise, yet I am selling 10 times as many books on ebay than I am on Amazon.
AS for your buyer an email never hurts. Just write politely and explain that you are sorry they were disappointed with the book and that you endeavour to resolve issues should they arise and would therefore be happy to provide a full refund on the books safe return. Go on to say that leaving what Amazon effectively class as a negative will affect your small sales considerably and you wonder if any arrangement can be made that makes the buyer feel happier with their purchase and maybe remove the feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Having a strange time at the moment myself, got 10 pending orders placed in the last 72 hours, never had anything like this before.
Are you still getting pending emails or do you check your listings periodically? The other sellers are saying that there are no pending emails anymore and that pendings just sort of disappear.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks, I'll go and check mine.
Oh, and as always seems the case with Amazon and conspiracy theories I emailed CS again and told them that there was obviously something wrong as I am no longer selling anything and lo! I just had 2 sales in the space of 10 minutes and both were listed over a year ago.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just checked and I have no pendings. Mind you the last one I had was ages ago and when it finally converted to a sale the latest posting date was actually before the time that sale completed, so technically I was already in breach of Amazon posting guidelines.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I was having a long hard think about my selling and listing last night as sales have been soooo poor - about 8 low value sales in the last month and nothing recently listed. I was going to email CS to get them to check my account then I sold my most expensive book :j still recovering from the shock - had to keep checking this morning in case the customer cancelled having made a mistake but its in the post now so fingers crossed.0 -

That is exactly what I did when I sold the £99 book. I sort of looked at the SDN, called my son and got him to read the price off the screen, then I had a panic that buyer thought it was 99p (it was a terribly tatty book!). The I rushed around a bit and got all fluttery, then I called my OH who just said 'that's nice dear, what's for dinner?'.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have to say my OH was rather more enthusiastic
he wanted me to rush off and try to find more copies of same book to sell - had to tell him it didn't quite work like that as it wasn't a particualry popular book, I just had the only one on Amazon and in fact there were none on Abe either. One of my better [luckier] charity shop buys
