In the first categories list if you can see 'Media (3)' try clicking on it
Hopefully, if you click on Media, then click on Printed Media it should bring up books to click on
Hope that helps
If you can't see Media in that first list then I'm afraid I am no help at all - sorry. And maybe someone else will be able to point you in the right direction
Thanks numberthree I will try that tomorrow :TNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -
Amazon sales have really picked up for us, so I would now like to list on Amazon.com
a) can U.K sellers do that?
b) I just had a brief look and there doesn't seem to be the option to create new products, is that the case?0 -

they can in theory but apparently its not easy [this is re book sellers and you may be selling other things but presume the same applies]. You have to have a US bank account which is tricky to open because you need a US address. I've read of sellers trying to jump through the hoops but giving up - talk to Cs though and see what they have to say. Can you not just make your items available internationally?0 -
BUT now I got an email from the buyer asking me to send it to a diifferent address which I think, if it's anything like ebay/paypal, means you don't get seller protection so not exactly sure what to do now.
Do i send him an email 'saying no that's forbidden, i can send it to the oringinal address or i can refund you' or something else?
Hi Cazs, someone had the same situation a few pages back and I've copied my reply to them below in blue but it's not a clear cut situation. Its annoying when that happens because buyers can ask for items to go to a different address to theirs at the point of buying.
its a tricky one - is it an expensive book? Have they said why they want it to go to a different address? If its not an expensive book I'd prob send it if the buyer seemed genuine [have you checked to see if they have buyer feedback or if they are another seller?].
Otherwise you could explain you are not allowed to send it there by Amazon and risk unfair neg feedback. You could refund and relist asking them to buy it to be sent to the address they need it to go to BUT that counts in your refund total which is a prob potentially if you have quite a few. Not an easy one to resolve so good luck - soz no very helpful solutions but maybe someone else will come up with something I've not thought of! Teapot0 -

We've got international on with really low rates but only picked up 1x to France.
We do about $8-10k/ month from ebay.com. US sales coming through .co.uk only equate to £500 tops.
I'll see what they say. If it takes a bit of work so beit, anything is possible- I managed to get a US customer to take the automated phone call from ebay so we could register a ebay.com account last week (so we can PS discount + better search standing)!!
One more question, amazon search....does it go on sales rank?
We barely did anything for months, now we're doing 2-3 sales a day (with a limited inventory).0 -
When you sent a dispatch confirmation, what do you put on the body of email?DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

Good luck with trying to sell on the US site. Not sure what you mean about the search and sales ranking. AFAIK searching within the site itself is not influenced by the sales ranking of items. In the case of books there is some debate about exactly how the sales ranking works especially for those books with a very low ranking ie 3million+. Some books have 2 different rankings showing within a listing. This has probably not answered your question though. Hope your sales continue to pick up and let us know how you get on with the US bank account.

When you sent a dispatch confirmation, what do you put on the body of email?
Hi Tirlittan,
I've pasted below in blue the sort of info I include in a dispatch email - I just adjust it as necessary, I don't estimate date of arrival but I know some sellers do, some also ask for feedback to be left. If the item isn't likely to fit through an average letter box I might mention that and ask them to look out for a RM card or check with the sorting office. If its expensive and needs a signature I'll mention that too. If its gone first class I'd mention that otherwise I just say its been posted. I know some sellers don't send a dispatch email but I always do and not selling that many its no hassle really.
Dear xxx,
thank you for buying the above book from me yesterday via the Amazon Marketplace. It was posted this morning so I hope it will arrive soon.
I hope that you will be happy with your book but if you have a question or there is any problem about your purchase please do email me and I will do my best to resolve it.
For your information the original listing details are on the packing slip which is included with your book.

A question about claims here:
Before I realised that a free certificate of posting offered just as much security as Recorded, d'oh, i used that service to send out quite a few things. Some of my items were delayed significantly and some never got signed for according to track and trace though I have not had anyone say their item hasnt turned up so i assume the postie just didnt bother to get a signature.
So basically I want to send off claim forms for delay & no-signature-obtained but I think you only have three months to do this according to RM site and they request you send the oringal Recorded slip with tracking number. But on AM the buyer has 90 days (roughly three months) to file a claim of non-receipt and I think they ask for the Recorded slip to be sent to them in the event of a dsipute too. Or am i wrong here? Are you just allowed to email AM the tracking number as then it wouldnt be an issue?
So basically how do other people deal with this considering if i send my slips off to RM a buyer could make a claim at the last minute.
I hope I havent made it sound too confusing but figured you all seeem like quite experienced sellers on here and might know.0 -
>what do you put on the body of email?<
I also include a clickable link to my storefront to help repeat business.
Also, is there any tools to manage concurrent listing on Amazon and Play (and maybe Ebay) that doesn't require any up-front payment and has fees based on sales?0
