AM, you know the hospital will only tell you to take a bath, or that you have constipation! :rotfl: Hope they ease off soon, are you dehydrated at all? Mine were worse if I was dehydrated.

Elle, I kept a bounchy chair, nappy supply, a few spare bottles and dummies (can be sterilised in a pan of boiling water, boil for 10 mins if no sterlisier), clothes, travel cot when lo was older at my parents house.

Glam, biomedical sciences. Taking a year out next year ofcourse but want to get all the extra things I can this year (highers etc) its only a NC course but they add in higher human biology, higher chemistry and CATCH points for nursing. Next is the HNC, then I can get into a 2nd year uni degree course in biomedical, biology, zoology etc. When I make my mind up.
LOL not dehydrated and not constipation :D
    Probably just been overdoing it.

AM and tara, what do you suggest? So far, I've thought of play gym and/or bouncy chair and changing mat plus nappy stocks. Good point on the spare clothes, tara! My godmother is giving mum her travelcot which she's never used.. mum said she would get a small, foldable highchair when the time comes too - she's thinking she'll get the travel type stuff so if we go away on hols we can take all her stuff :)

Glam, I thought Sami's scan was on 28th March.. not sure though!

    Extra sick cloths!;)

I love potato waffles - might have to go out first thing now to get waffles, eggs, sausages and beans! Yum.

But you have to sing the waffle song while making them, it is the law!

Not so much now, but a few weeks ago when I was feeling rough in the evenings I was practically living on potato waffles with loads of salt and vinegar! :D

I'm hungry now but OH seems to be refusing to wake up! I've snacked on cakes, tea, rich tea biscuits, an apple and just had wholegrain crackers with Dairylea (which has "added calcium and vitamin D", apparently!).. :( Don't know what I want for tea!

DS has not turned up at his dads, sneaked off to a friends. I'm fuming, gonna go get him, flippen hours drive but he's not gonna get away with it. I've just spent last hour trying to find him as he bare face lied to me about where he was going.

 For you tara! *hugs* too..

We'll have a virtual glass of something cold waiting for you here when you get back! ;)
  • Tara - the little so and so...try not to get too stressed hun.

I have made a huge risotto at hubbys request. Easy enough but you have to stand over the stove whilst it cooks so my back is in bits again. AND it used to be the recipe I brought out when I needed an excuse to open a bottle of wine (like I ever needed an excuse lol!)

Have texted AF but no reply...may be good news??

Any OS'ers around - can I freeze risotto?

MFD yes you can but when you reheat it make sure it's PIPING hot through :)

I found it easier to freeze risotto in bags and fairly flat... so no thicker than about 1.5 - 2 cm thick - makes defrosting and reheating a lot easier as it's such a "thick" consistency :)

Candygirl, are you around? How's your DD? I have a question you might be able to help me with..

When I'm home alone with baby (after OH goes back to work etc) I'm thinking that I might spend a few days a week at my Mum's house. Am intending to join a few groups too, but none of my friends are off on mat leave and all work weekdays, so to get out the house I'll go to Mum's.. Which leads me to thinking - would it be a good idea to get some things solely for my mum's house, like a bouncy chair and/or play gym to save me having to load mine into the car each time?

Candy, are you having any bits permanently at your house? Sami, did you leave anything at your mum's? Anyone else got any thoughts? :) Thanks!

My godmother regularly looks after her granddaughter and she's got her own fullsize cot, travel system and fully stocked wardrobe!

Elle, my Mum has a pram, buggy, Moses basket, bouncy chair, baby gym, clothes, nappies, millions of toys, highchair, playpen and and a nursery complete with cotbed and furniture :D. Mum and Dad have both my children on a Mon & Thurs afternoon as well as the times we all go and visit so it obviously makes sense for us.

    xx
