Tine's Hospital Bag:
Nightdress
Dressing gown
Slippers
Socks
Underwear - take old ones, buy new ones to replace them
Magazines/Book
DS (being as I have about 1000 games... actually 1032 games to be precise...)
Camera - although not sure... DH has a really good camera on his phone and mine is an 8Mp cam too...
Money - I plan on taking £40 with me - if I need more I can send DH out for some...
Bottled water and orange juice cartons
Toiletries (toothbrush/t.paste/deodorant/soap/hairbrush/bobbles)
Towels
PJ for after Roo has arrived.
Maternity pads
Stuff for Roo:
Nappies (any ide how many I should pack???)
Baby Wipes/cotton wool
3 baby vests
3 baby gros
Bibs
Notepad + pen (Great idea! Nicked that)
Coming home stuff
Car seat - actually think I'll just get this set up in the car so when DH comes to pick us up he can bring it up.
Little Roo outfit I have already bought for her to come home in
Blanket - really ought to get on with crocheting it!
Something nice for me to come home in... NOT jeans... Mainly as I have no idea what size I'm likely to be when I have given birth! Gals - any ideas on this?
I'm not taking enough after mum to be able to do with what she did - she wore her prepregnancy jeans when she left hospital! but then unlike everyone else on the maternity ward she looked like she'd never given birth after she had me. So much so that people didn't realise I was hers if they hadn't spoken to her before I arrived. So unfair...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -

Love the idea of the going home stuff and carseat being seperate.
Did you see my post about the bloody pram?! If not, in short, the car seat wouldn't fit the new Vectra we got, so we had to get a maxi cosi car seat, so of course that seat wouldn't clip into the SC pram
Ended up with a Maxi Cosi Mura pram, with carry cot, footmuff, bag and raincover, all for £265, same price as the 3D was.
We picked it up last night and i love it even more than the 3D.
You'rs is coming this week isn't it? xxTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
ooh extra not on hosp bags, I'm using trolley case also because they have a small "footprint" IYSWIM so if I'm stuck on ward I won't keep tripping over my bag
and wheels mean no heavy lifting
I have a top tip too take a pack of food bags like these so you can pop anything that gets dirty and wet/smelly in them until you/OH can take them homealso good for wet flannel or as a toiletry bag

Shell, my notes are green!
My hubby will be delighted to hear that :rotfl: Our greatest fear is that Roo will start turning in to a chav! And we jokingly have stated if she does then the minute there is any sign of chavviness she's being shipped to boardingschool!
My notes are blue.. I like blue....DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I took 3 bags into the hopsital when I had DS. One for labour, one for hospital and one for baby. VERY glad i did. I had DS in the middle of the night and OH wasn't allowed onto the ward with me so he took the labour bag home.
One thing I will say is that a lot of you ladies are taking one nightdress. Well I took PJS for walking round during the active part of my labour, an massive mens primark cheapy T shirt to give birth in and a nighdress for the ward. BUT i was sick on the pyjamas after my tea, then sick on the birth t shirt then had to give birth in my nightdress which left me nothing for the ward. Luckily they sent OH home for a couple of hours while nothing was happening (I coudn't go was on the foetal monitor) so he fetched spares.
Pack magazines. If you have to stay still and on the monitor it is REALLY dull. I hope you ladies saile through with no probs but if they suspect bubs is in distress like they did with me they won't let you off the monitor and its BORING. I coudn't settle to a book but somehow flicking through Heat and reading about celebs and their 'problems' was rather easier!
SB is right take a carrier bag with lucazade and flapjacks and all kinds of snack foods - you might not want to eat them but OH might and you dont know how long you will be in there.
My notes are green. Round here they are known as your 'green notes'. I am suprised these kind of things aren't standard?0 -
...
Money - I plan on taking £40 with me - if I need more I can send DH out for some... You know you get the baby for free don't you? :rotfl:I was in hosp for 2 nights and spent about £10 most of that was on for the TV card
Stuff for Roo:
Nappies (any ide how many I should pack???) one pack of ur boots glitch huggies will be plenty...
Something nice for me to come home in... NOT jeans... Mainly as I have no idea what size I'm likely to be when I have given birth! Gals - any ideas on this? I wore my maternity jeans they were a bit loose but no way could I fit in my normal jeans (sorry I live in jeans, only own about 2 pairs of trousers)
