I don't think I've ever met a jewish person  I hadn't ever 'met' a black person until I was about 12 in high school, until about 10 years ago everyone in my town and school town etc were either white or aisan

I am jewish and we have met on MSE and now on facebook - will that do!!!!

I am a busy bee in work this morning, waiting for a client to turn up who is 24 minutes late. I wanna go home right this minute xxxx

Hubby just rang from work to say he's really enjoying leftover stew for lunch... Wish there was enough for two, I really fancy left over stew!

Tine, I haven't even thought about my hospital bag yet either... But I think it's because the bag is buried right at the back of the built in wardrobe with the cot in peices in front of it... Think the cot is getting put together now the bedroom carpet is down so I might start throwing things together...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

'Ello, I've been researching what makes labour start, thought I'd share, please ignore if it's a bit tooo, y'know.....!

A Foetal hormone signals to mum’s hypothalamus (very basic bit of our brains, all primal urges and stuff) and is produced when the lungs are ready to breathe.
Our hypothalamus then stimulates our pituitary gland, where our hormones are mostly regulated. Pituitary secretes oxytocin (powerful hormone with strong amnesia symptoms) Oxytocin makes uterus contract: labour begins.

Other mechanisms involved in the start of labour: CRH: corticotropin-releasing hormone: released by the placenta. Amounts correlate with date of labour (early, on time or post-dates) by the 16th-20th weeks gestation so for most of us on the list, it's already a done deal!;)

CRH seems to trigger foetal production of cortisol. Cortisol clears fluid from infant’s lungs and stimulates more CRH production. This, in turn, stimulates placental oestrogen production, necessary for starting labour.

I didn't realise how early in pregnancy the end was being regulated IYSWIM? :D Might go find out why some pregnancies have higher levels of CRH.....

    TTFN,

    Weezl x

I did say around here ;) I think where Mel lives is a bit classier than here and your Dad sounds very classy!!
around here all the kids are, Kai, Kaid, Mackenzie and then you get the odd Shakira  etc
We (MIL and I coz we are snobs :D) were laughing at how classy the H family are (as we are both only H by marriage ) OH's cousin has found us on FB and her name on there is "Vicky Lizzie" as u may guess her actual name is Victoria Elizabeth a very regal name ruined on a chav

Well that's upset me :rotfl: at the moment Mackenzie is on our possible names list and my dog is called Shakira ;) in fairness she did come with that name already and her "day to day" name is Kira :)

An additional issue for us is that we have to pick names that can work in 2 languages... (3 if you count scottish seperately ;) )

    Hello girlies.
I've not been around much cos i dont feel i;ve got much to contribute lately, just incase anyone thought i was being rude :o
I'm still plodding (or waddling) along with the pregnacy, 33+1, and just looking at recent posts, I think I might sort out my hospital bag starting today.
I'm going to use a hodall(sp?) my mum is lending me and the boots changing bag for the babys stuff, i know people say just take one but I want it seperate.

I did think about buying a night gown the other day... I did say THINK mind ;)
I have 2 dressing gowns and the older one is coming with me to hospital as it can be chucked afterwards...
I do have things like breast pads etc but looking at lists I have TONNES to get yet... *sigh*

I hope u can forgive me? *inserts groveling smilie*
I think the saddest thing about the popularity of Mackenzie around here is that it followed on from the growing popularity of the clothing brand:rolleyes:
I did like the name but its tainted for me now, damn chavs!
I will point out that most of them have the "creative" spellings of it and they are frankly mind boggling  Why do some people feel the need to spell everything wrong?

ooh I'm feeling a bit depressed now just been talking about some hideous 'man' that killed a 23mth little boy and then mentioned it's Ivan Cameron's funeral today :(
