Just nipped to the pub over the road for lunch, they do the most fantastic lunch-time special, £3.95 for main course and pudding. Really generous servings too!!

Oooooooh thank you all on the name front, Tine - I told dh about 'your' Kai, he was very impressed!! Isaac was picked as dh is a Physicist (in training) and I had no other name picked out at that point, when he said it I really liked it. But I think Kai is probably the front runner....You watch I will come to announce my bs and he will be called Aurther or something;)
Can't remember what code area we live in, but I wouldn't say it's posh at all:p

I didn't bother with the Bounty photographer, as I thought it was a bit pricey:rolleyes:

Gotta go get the squids, talking of which ds1 is really growing up, it hit me yesterday when he got a phone call of a school friend and they were sat chatting about how to link up on the PS3, It is sooo scary.
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

One thing, am I allowed to use the flash with the newborn? I notice most peoples 'first' baby pictures are blurry - is there a reason why I can't use the flash?
I think its more a case of "quick wipe those tears from your eyes and take a picture" :rotfl:actually ours of chris are pretty goodif i do say so myself;)

  • Afternoon ladies!

Had a lovely lunch out with hubby and popped to Wickes on the way home so hubby could buy some chisels for re-hanging the nursery door...as it stands at the moment we have taken the door off and Bubba will just have NO privacy :rotfl:

Here I am, 1 day overdue and I have bought my first pregnancy and birth magazine!! It had a free baby whisperer book so the sucker for freebies in me had to give it a whirl! I can always pass it on to my niece when I am done.

Sami - I am so sorry but I have to ask what the dreaded P word is...I have thought long and hard and I can't think of what it is

    Our notes are green!

I have other things to say but I don't know what they are anymore :o

Thanks Sami. Most of the toiletries we have anyway as DS2 is still in nappies at night (but pants during the day he is a big boy now). All it is then is nappies, shampoo, soap and a sponge for when needed. The sling I will get but it's not a must be in the house ready item.

I bought a knitted hat and mittens from ebay and they arrived today. Looked at it and thought no way will it fit a baby, it's tiny! So went and looked out my only baby clothes, the special ones I kept when I gave away all the rest. And they are so small! I'd forgotten how small they were! All tiny baby stuff, but still teeny tiny! So I have 1 hat, 1 set mits, 1 jacket, 1 cardi, 1 sleepsuit (blue), 1 short sleeved vest, 1 blue next jumper (look so cute on a girl though) and 1 dungaree and vest outfit. :D But I think I may need more....

Our SCBU asked that you didn't use flash photography but on the wards it was ok.

If you want some nice professional pics of baby do what I did and enter them in the local newspaper's cute baby comp they usually have a professional photographer based in a local shopping centre for a week or 2 and if you have more than one child they will usually do one of them together just for you - much cheaper than booking a session with a photographer yourself ;)

    The wiganers are invading :D
all the wigan midwifery teams are named after writers not that most of the pregnant wiganers would have noticed that :p
