  • Thanks Money Saving Diva (and everyone else) for the hugs & kind words - I know it will get easier, but just when I think it's getting better, I have a setback and seem to be almost at square 1 again. I'm sure it wasn't so difficult the last time - maybe the feelings sort of multiply the more often it happens - now there's a cheery thought - NOT! - as we're hoping to 'climb back on the rollercoaster' next month.

Just checked the bank acct and Mr A HAS charged me in full for my shopping - so a complaint email now sent to customer services. We'll see what happens.....

More things to worry about now - DH's youngest has been in trouble at school again. I find it so frustrating and it is so complicated - I know what I would do if he was MY son, but I have to bite my tongue and make 'suggestions' to DH over how to handle it - and he so dislikes confrontation that even getting him to talk to his Ex-W is difficult. Big sighs from FE.

I'm going to be a good wife and go to the footie with DH tonight, as his mates he usually goes with are all away on hols and he wants some company. Looks like it is going to be a cold nite, so not too keen really, but he has been such a sweetie to me lately that I feel I owe him.....the things we do for love eh?!

Update - done some of my jobs, yesterdays too!
    • clean the bin (yuk!) putting it off:D
    • [strike]Clean spare room (in-laws coming later in the week)[/strike]
    • [strike]Collect parcel from PO[/strike]
    • [strike]Get passport piccy for ED done[/strike]
    • [strike]clean the living room & dining room [/strike]
    • take the kids for a haircut just about to go
    • make some lamb burgers (going to use the Sainsburys feed family for £5 recipe) waiting for mince to defrost
    • generally tidy up after the kids :D:D:D:D:D:D:D yeah right!
also made some cheesy muffins for ED to have for lunch when she goes back to school, she has gradually 'gone off' most of the sandwich filling she was having and now down to cheese, salami or dairylea! So trying some new things. Usually I make the kids eat what I've made but when shes having to at school I would prefer her to have something I know she will eat!

  • Hi All
    :hello:

Well been a bit awol for a few days. Spent a lovely day with my mum yesterday. We baked all day which was great! Dinner tonight will be HM chicken and ham pie! (my very first! :j )

House is really getting me down at the moment. Its kinda got to the stage where I dont actually know where to start! Had my dad here yesterday re-laying part of the tiles in our kitchen floor and re-grouting the hall so everywhere is minging and dusty. So instead of cleaning it i am sat here on my bum. Think I need a good kick! Lol

Finally managed to work out how to post picture (I think!), so I thought I would post the piccy of the skirt I made yesterday. ED wore hers today, YD didn't want to which is fine by me, I don't usually dress them the same but this fabric was so lovely they both wanted it and I couldn't resist!:D

    Morning OS friends!

Beautiful and sunny here - going to try and get out of the house and go and park at the sea front for a while - n9eav inspired me... We are only 10 mins away and take it for granted I think.

Halight - that might be half payments for the last three weeks. If memory serves, they do that kind of thing and then back date the rest. When I first applied for disability Living allowance they tell you it will take 11 weeks, and sure enough - it did! Felt rich when the back payment went in though, how they expected me to live in the meantime I have no idea.
Fairy elephant - *hugs* to you honey.. I had dreams like that after it happened to me and it's so painful. Words cannot help I know but all I can say is that it gets more bearable as time goes on.
Isochick - I am so sorry to hear that dreadful news.
    Moggins - big hugs honey
Bunny - goodluck2.gifwith your list hon

Tristan saw the Dr again yesterday and he says that apparently the meds that Tris has been on were affecting his temper so the Dr is going to try some new ones. The problem is he is on so many that they can only guess at some of the side effects.

My OH made Phil Vickerys hotpot cobbler last night but we think he might have added too many oats cos we ended up with a kind of gloop. It tasted Ok (not as nice as my OHs normal cooking to be honest) but it was NOT nice to look at and as much as it pains me, I cannot face eating it again tonight so it will be binned. We did save half the cobblers seperately though as they were delicious and we thought we might put them on a normal mince mixture tonight. Normally to stretch mince we add grated carrots and celery but didn't have those in the house last night so oats it was. Not sure we will do it again though, it was like eating wallpaper paste.

Have a friend popping in tonight for dinner. she is one of my best friends so we know we don't have to make an effort, just cook something edible!! (And put a clean cloth on the table!):rotfl:

I hope everyone has a good day - the BM is on here and I can see washing out on the line, which is lovely. Warm gentle hugs hug.gif to those who would like one.

    with love and light
