    Morning all,

Bit of a lay in again this morning :D , its gonna be a struggle to get up in the morning, dd is making breakfast, ham and cheese bagel, we are then off into town, for a few bits, I need hoover bags, and squash, nothing much.

I need to make a cottage pie for tea, got some lamb mince that needs using up, will have it with carrots, cauli and cabbage.

Got a wash on the go, and another to go in, will hang it out, yesterday was a beautiful day very spring like, hopefully it will be like that again today.

Nessie Happy Birthday  , have a good day, xx

Hester hope all is ok with dd xx

Moggins I hope you are ok xx

    Hugs to smoky.

    Happy Birthday Nessie!

    Welcome to Trazy and Lornameg.

Lornameg - whereabouts in SW France are you? We have a house just outside Parthenay that we are very slowly renovating, when we get the chance!

I hope everyone is feeling good - (((hugs))) for all those who aren't.

There seems to be a lot of dental appointments going on on here so good luck to all who have one today!

Well, late for me today. I got stuck into the housew**k and have almost finished the ironing so I thought I'd take a break with a cup of coffee.

My nephew and niece had a little girl yesterday; it's their second baby, they also have a son aged four. It was their second home birth so I'm full of admiration for her! If my sister had joined us here (as she keeps promising!!), she could have told you the news herself! Worleite - where are you?!!

Well, the weather is really mild here but not as sunny as yesterday, sadly. I shall still hang the washing out, though. I could tell Spring was on the way yesterday - my pond filled up with lustful frogs. Each year they have a real orgy; there's hundreds of them! How they survived the freezing temperatures, I'll never know.

Dinner is chilli with rice so that's an easy one.

Anyway, I must get the ironing finished, then I have loads of paperwork to do and a lot of shredding since DH took into his head to start sorting things out!

    See you all later.

    :bdaycake: Happy Birthday Nessie!!

Had a lovely walk with the dogs this morning - I am so glad it's getting light earlier. I'm sick of pavement-only walks!

Feeling very smug on my 2nd day of 'being organised'. Made sandwiches/lunches the night before, got all stuff for tea out of the freezer according to my meal plan - wonder if I can keep it up all week?? ;)

Today am determined to ring up dentist and make us appointments, and sort out the 2 doctors appointments I need in the next month.

Also have to do a very horrible thing and find a sympathy card for a friend who has lost her 2 year old son to cancer :( . We knew it was coming, but didn't expect it for a while yet. What a horrid thing to have to go through...

My boss is away this morning - amazing what I can get done when she isn't in the office!! :D

    Have a good day everyone!

IsoChick - what dreadful news. Two years old - it's so unfair. (((Hugs))) to the poor family; I can't imagine what they're going through.

Not feeling great today I have to say, it is one of my 'down' days. Had a lot of dreams last night where I was either still expecting the baby, or she had already been born and we were travelling around showing her off to people (even to Australia FGS - although we know people there it is not likely we would go there, especially with a newborn!), so I was very sad and teary when I woke up and realised that it was all just a dream.

Sorry you're feeling so down ((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) to you.

How awful I can't even begin to imagine what the poor family are going through. They are in my prayers.
  • Isochick, I am so sorry to hear that dreadful news. I cannot imagine, nor do I want to, what your friend is going through. I will keep them in my prayers. xxx
Life is too short to waste a minute of it complaining about bad luck. Find joy in the simple things, show your love for those around you and be grateful for all that you have. :)
  • IsoChick, what terrible news, not sure what you can say about it, just awful news. The sooner they can cure ALL cancers the better, terrible disease, I lost my mother 4 years ago to lung cancer. Of course its all over the news with Jade Goody, regardless of what you might think of her you have to have some symapthy for her and all the other people and families in that situation. Puts credit crunch into perspective I think..... Some people think she should stay out of the limelight at this time but I think the media and the people who buy/read these articles put her where she ended up and now they owe her and her boys something. I have no issue with her selling her story at this time, I just wish there was some avenue for other families in similar situations to get the sympathy, recognition, and financial support she will get.

Oh I gotten all philosophical....... how unlike me!:D

    :hello: Good morning all!

    Happy Birthday Nessssie:bdaycake:

Welcome to our new posters! MSD - Glad you heard from Tris, thinking of you both xx

turfy6 - LOL at your cat! I hope his paws aren't too sore. My cat used to walk to school with me when we lived in the country - it was just over a mile each way. She didn't come all the way, but used to come along the road to meet me when I was coming home :D

((((HUGS)))fairy elephant, moggins and all who feel low today.

christabell:hello: Hope your trip to town went okay and that you found what you were looking for! Sounds like today needs to be a rest day.

AussieLass - Lovely to have you back, glad you enjoyed your holiday! Getting back home and having to start cooking again really brings you back to earth with a bump, doesn't it!

Smokybabe - So glad you are better (((HUGS)))

Hilstep - Thinking of you! Such a strange thing to get one's head round, having to stop work, but it is a huge relief when you no longer feel under pressure to get well :) x

Had a lovely roast leg of lamb on Sunday and there's some left over to whiz in the food processor with veggies for a shepherd's pie. We also bought nice suasages from the butcher's on Saturday so really ought to eat those, but I'm really don't fancy them today so not sure what to do  I hope they'll still be okay tomorrow!

Need to clean bathroom today. It looks so much better now we've got vinyl in there instead of the awful old carpet, but I think I'll get DH to take the hoover up there for me as sweeping the floor is harder than I'd expected - I think it's because the vinyl doen't have a smooth surface.

    All for now, best wishes

    ivyleaf xx
