  • Happy Birthday, Nessie.

Halight, I am glad you got some money.

My boys have dental appointments this afternoon. This mornig I am tidying up and doing some course work. OH cleared the desk last night but has left all the contents on the dining room table. I am not impressed but he was really tired and has promised to sort everything tonight.

Plan to bake some fairy cakes this afternoon and that will be it baking wise. My Spanish tortilla went down very well last night. There is a little bit left which I will have after my soup for lunch.

    Have a good day.

Happy Birthday Nesssie have a good one out your feet up for as long as you can today, I would if I could.......:j

I need to get on and do stuff today as the list that I put up yesterday I didn't manage to do any of the cleaning stuff I made the girls skirts and if I could ever work out how to put a picture on here I'd show you:rotfl: so need to :
    • clean the kitchen
    • clean the spare room
    • clean the living room & dining room
    • take the kids for a haircut
    • make some lamb burgers (going to use the Sainsburys feed family for £5 recipe)
    • generally tidy up after the kids :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Weather here is generally bland, not sunny, very grey, can't decide whether to rain or sun. Still after the exciting weather of the last 2 weeks its a welcome change!

Will check in later, I wonder how much of my list will get done today?:o

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
  • Good morning everyone....

I'm just about to clear the breakfast dishes away and make a start on the ironing. I don't mind doing it but putting it away is a real chore.

I need to go to the butcher today and i'm hoping to find some inspiration there for dinner. I fancy chops and I have plenty of frozen veg so just need the meat I think.

DH is working away for a few days. I am not used to being alone at night in this house (although the children are here too) but I'm sure it will be fine and I will enjoy a quiet evening to myself tonight. ;) I must pick up the knitting needles and make a start on a baby blanket I have promised a friend.

    Happy Birthday Nessie.

Tru... Have a look at this book. I know someone who bought it and was pleased with it. http://www.blpbooks.co.uk/broad_leys_books/starting_a_smallholding.php?PHPSESSID=626f9f85129b91ebbac5ed63a74e80b3

Kind thoughts to all in need.

    Nessie - Happy birthday!!:bdaycake: Have a great day :D

Halight - sounds like the JSA staff need to get some more training! At least you have something now :o and I presume you'll get the money back-dated (eventually:rolleyes:)

Plenty of OS for me today - I'm in charge of making medals and a Saint Theresa habit for the play WHICH IS IN SIX DAYS :eek::eek:, so off to get fabric and buttons today. Also going to try adn get through my Flylady jobs (only discovered that thread yesterday!) but honestly don't know if I'll get chance.

Other bits on my to-do list:
    • Rehearsals for the play next week AND the play that's in four weeks
    • Give blood for the first time
    • Work this evening - if it's quiet I'm going to train - was meant to go this morning, but I overslept - oops!
    • Carry on eating my HM soup :o
Hope everyone's happy and having a good day, *huuuuuuuuuuuuuugs* to anybody who needs one.

Happy birthday Nessie, have a good one.

I've doe al my nebs & meds this morning, lungs are working pretty well and the weather is not too bad so me thinks I'll do a tip run we've been putting off for ages then maybe treat myself to fish & chips up the hill (or pack a bit of lunch and have a breath of fresh air)

  • Good Morning All

    :j  Happy 40th Nessie:beer: :j

Day at home today which I am looking forward to - have had a couple of mad days so will be nice to just potter. Did ok at the dentist yesterday, he did take a couple of xrays for me & will call if they show something so have everything crossed that they dont. Adventure Island was quiet & the sun was out so that was very pleasant.

Today have B Gas coming round to fix a kitchen light and tescos between 10-12. Have so far cleaned the kitchen worktops, swept the floor and put a load of washing in. Just about to clean the sinks with white vinegar - we live in such a hard water area you have to keep on top of the limescale. Like you Tru will then tackle the ironing to get it out of the way. Have some paperwork to do but that is way down the list.

Hoping to get carrot cake made, have loads of carrots to use up. May make some for our friends as well.

Going to try hard to get the washing out today its so mild here, we have a very clay soil and the garden is like a bog but hopefully will be dry enough now.

OH will be cooking dinner tonight as I am out with some old friends, really really looking forward to that.

Anyway I have waffled somewhat this morning so best get going now.

Tru - was there a book accompaning the Wartime Kitchen Garden programme - think that would be good.

    Good Morning Everyone!
Laptop playing up today - won't let me thank anyone!
    :bdaycake: Happy Birthday, Nessie!
Not going to gym today as I've pulled something in my back, so rest day I think. Need to bake more bread (where is it going????), do the ironing and try some more decluttering upstairs. Currently WM is whirling the dogs' bedding round yet again. Still have extra sheets from DS & family's w/e visit draped around the radiators too.
Lamb casserole with dumplings tonight - found some cheap neck fillets recently.
Hope you all have a good day - and N9eav - can't begin to tell you haow jealous your proposed visit to the beach has made me!
((HUGS)) to all who need one.

Morning all :wave; hope you are all well.

Quiet day here so far, in early but have to stay in one department as my swipe card is at home, so I'm stuck until the others turn up

OH has promised to book the hotel for the outlaws today. I will check later on :D Started the meal planning properly, but can't do the on-line shop for a week or so because OH will just eat it.

Dinner tonight will be HM pizza, I made the base last night as OH had decided to cook so it should be fairly quick tonight.

Have a good day all, cel x
