Well I rang the doc's and everything was normal except for my glucose level, which is "a bit off". Trouble is, I don't know which way it's off  My doc is on holiday this week, I could've made an appointment to see a different doc in 2 days time, but I said I'd wait for the other one cos he's so great
Anyway, I have to take a urine sample in so they can double-check and my doc is ringing me on monday morning. I googled blood sugar, it seems up OR down is probably diabetes but until I know how "off" "a bit off" is, I'm none the wiser and take that to mean that I can still have choc for now :rotfl:
I've managed to get half my jobs done but I ran out of energy about 2 hours ago. I'll do the other half tomorrow
Miss tru's new boss rang and asked if she'd start a week early, so it's her first day today :Tprincesstippytoes wrote: »But I expect that my feelings don't matter as I am not considered a member of this "family".

AnnieStar, great to see you! Welcome to the newbies too. I enjoy reading the posts about everyone's OS stuff & daily lives...
Came home to a tidy kitchen & the rest of the wet washing that was still lurking has been put on the airer/radiators by youngest DD, plus she has made chocolate cake which she is now icing! I am cooking some fish pies I had tucked away in the freezer for supper first.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Afternoon everyone!
Couldn't get on t'internet from home at the weekend (& my IT-Savvy friends are all away on holiday at the mo') and was missing it, but seeing comments about some kind of furore on the thread yesterday made me glad I missed it really. You have all been so kind since I ventured back last week, and as you all know I am still a bit 'fragile' so trying to avoid unpleasantness and things which might make me upset.
Anyhoo - quite a bit of OS over the weekend, even though AF finally came to call and made her presence very stongly felt, so I was a bit of a misery-moo with DH.
Made a big rice pud in the SC to use up the milk I had bought in ready for the visitors who had to cancel due to illness.
Made 2 loaves in the BM.
Sorted out the freezer, relisted contents and re-organised them so DH can have at least a hope of finding stuff!
Did several loads of washing - linen-bin is no longer overflowing onto the floor for the first time in ages! Feels good to start getting things back in control again....
DH finally got around to fixing our bedroom wall-cupboards which had warped and the doors didn't shut properly - reinforced them with some wood from the garage - which was actually frame of an old broken louvre door someone had dumped in the lane by our house a couple of months ago! Really pleased that we managed to 'recycle' it and get the cupbaords sorted (now a huge pile of stuff to sort back into the cupboards.....that is tonight's task and probably tomorrow evening's too!).
Having a big row with Mr ASDA at the moment - had ordered stuff for the weekend (mainly to feed the visitors it is true), as my car is still off the road (that's another whole long story I won't bore you with right now) which should have been delivered Friday evening....suffice it to say that despite several telephone conversations I am still waiting!!!!! So maybe a blessing in disguise that they were ill and couldn't come, but still very annoying to be messed about like that by Mr A.
Ah well, today is another day of course! Take a deep breath & carry on......
Using up some of my previously cooked & frozen meals tonight - so it's cottage pie for DH and Chilli for me, with rice pud and HM jam-sauce for 'afters'!
(((HUGS))) to everyone who needs 'em!

Evening everyone
Princesstippytoes, Moggins and WannabeSybil :kisses3: to all of you
Well I *should* be washing up and getting dinner, instead I am sitting on 'puter madly refreshing my browser as I am expecting my AAT exam results anytime from about now until tomorrow morning (it could be a long night  ).
Need to stick the BM on for sandwiches tomorrow, have already boiled the eggs. All my ironing is up to date :T Well at least until the next washload
DD is going to have an easy tea of tuna jacket spud, with grated cheese. DH and I will have lasagne and salad, and I'll freeze the leftover portions.
