I used to feel like that too because I was concentrating too much on the things I couldn't have/afford. I can't say for sure when I had my LB moment, but this site becomes addictive and there is so much help and advice available (especially on this thread!!!) I now really enjoy watching the pennies and it feels somehow liberating not to have to worry about keeping up with the jones'. Once you let go of the pressue of modern life, consumerism and succumbing to advertising life truly becomes enjoyable again. I follow the '5 daily OS pleasures' thread too - it is lovely to see that people can take pleasure in the simplest things. The grocery challenge is just that - an exciting challenge and I love to see how much I can shave off my weekly spend. Even if it's only a pound or two, it all adds up.
OS family - I love hearing about your lives, the ups AND downs.
WS - please keep posting as your little bear sounds very much like mine was - he's 14 now but still up to mischief
Welcome to all newbies - you are very welcome here.
