Not sure if you have tried this or not but Marks and Spencer are always looking for staff ,usually to work "silly shifts". My friend works there, and although a good deal over 16, says if you go on the M&S website there is an 0845 tel no that you can ring and see what goes . Saves your shoe leather !!! Good luck, and dont let it get you down x

on the net some places say no under 18's, some say only when supervised 16 and over..?
Also someone has told me that when the law changed over licensing times, 16 year olds can also serve in pubs.. any truth to this? i always thought it was 17?0 -

I know you cant work behind a bar until your 18.
I think you can work in a petrol station but cus they sell other stuff like alcohol you need to be supervised. (got turned down by all my petrol stations, tesco said i could work in theirs when i was 16 but i was 15 at the time, i had loads of job oppertunities at the end of last year but they all said no cus i wasnt 16)
Bit of mispelling their!0 -
