AquaShield is the 'poor mans new roof', targeted at families who cannot afford to pay out for a new roof and to splash out on a coat of paint instead.
I dread to think what the work costs on finance.
BTW, I checked our roof on the weekend and the concrete tiles are a little on the brittle side and in need of replacement. A coat of paint may make them look great, but it won't strengthen them. They are fine for the time being, but I have decided to put some money aside each week for a rainy day.0 -
Any company that relies on a forum to sell its products, cant be doing all that well. The dangers of trying this on MSE is public opinion, Ive never heard of the company, but after reading the reviews on here, I wouldnt trust a word they have to say....Im just speaking as 1 individual. out of 1000's of potential victi....I mean customers
. Well I must dash, I got some morter tinting to do so as to strenghen my brick walls.

We had been unable to sell our house for six months and a friend suggested we have the Aquashield System applied, the main roof looked bad it was covered in moss and did not match the new extension roof. We sold the house within two weeks and received a transferable 10 year guarentee. Great job - no mess - nice people to deal with. Good luck0

we had a chap come out to quote us a few weeks ago. quoted £7K and within seconds dropped the price by over half.
always a bad sign in my book.
following week we received a follow-up telephone call, i said no and then received a few minutes of extreme hard sell tactics. apparently, if i don't take their product then my roof will cave in very shortly.
a few things that were pointed out to us by the 'surveyor' (and i use that term loosely) who came and gave the roof a once over, have been incorrect.
we've been up on the roof, checked a few things out and in fact removed the moss ourselves.
the product seems good but the speedy price drop rang alarm bells, so if we go ahead with a roof renovation, we would not use this company.0 -

Well these guys have done a roof accross the road, my neighbour (without consulting me) is having his done right now, I thought I might have mine done too - but at 4.5 k I reckon that's an awful lot of money to spend on cleaning - be cheaper having new roof tiles surely? and what a mess they are making of my side - they have assured me they will clean it up - I sincerely hope they do - am not paying that much - could have my roof re-tiled for that0

We paid £1400 for roof, semi det. The salesman promised the earth, including a survey, none carried out. Complete con as far as i am concerned. VERY POOR job, took them about 4 hrs. Sprayed over slipped slates. No remedial work carried out. Promised to return twice, still waiting. If you are thinking of having this work done, I can send you photos that will show you why you should not. Work was done in June 08. Now in dispute with finance company.0

Why not do it your self, check out www.promain.co.uk You should be able to treat the average semi for about £300.00 in materials .Big difference in £2300.00 my neighbour was just quoted .Ok that includes 2 men for 2 days.Thats about £480.00 in my reconing for labour .I know this is my first post, but I do not work for the above,I am just a keen DIYer who has looked into this roof coating system which does have its advantages.0
