Well I for one am so glad that Aqs is being slated, praised and questioned. The company is owned by 3 Scots who have sold drives, DG, soffits etc and now roof coating. As with many direct sales companies they use normal marketing methods of canvasing door to door. Each staff member from door knocker to fitter is self employed on a commission basis. The product they use is not unique but IS developed for concrete roof tiles alone and is a sound, tested and dare I say it MODERN development. The methods can be questionable as with any system and is in most cases down to the quality and dedication to the 'fitters, who by the way are not trained to any industry qualification. Aqs have indeed grown very quickly and despite a large number of issues, complaint and questionable methods, still reign as the UK's largest roof-coaters. Despite this and I hope that this note can stop all of the bickering, the business of ROOF COATING IS a sound and genuine one, the right product does what it says on the tin and if you shop around you will hopefully find it at a reasonable price (certainly £18-20 sqmtr is realistic), then if applied correctly by staff "wearing helmets" ( :-) 'cris sakes) it looks and performs very well indeed.
One thing is certain, not many posts here are from 'experts' in this field.
Until now that is, and though I have no intentions of advertising or offering my company details, I can assure you that you have a choice, you have a brain and despite many roofers not liking the idea, there is an alternative. NOW can we stop all of this, my phone never stops ringing asking for a quote

Because this is a money saving site and painting your roof so (in some people's opinion) it looks nice doesn't seem very money saving. Personally I hate to see a roof that sticks out from the houses around it. They look much better when they've aged a bit.

As you say, "everything has a price". It reminds me of another saying "one born every minute".

AQ are expensive try www.roof-coaters.co.uk based in cheshire, they are very good and made a great job of our roof two years ago. and offer credit card facilities, 10 year warranty 5 colours, and free survey.

yep I joined the company in June.

So you're self publicising, in breach of the sign up rules? This is a money saving site, there's fewer gullible people and many canny people. You should sepnd your time somewhere more productive and less discriminating of you want people to buy your rubbish.
