Aquashield was investigated on BBC's Rogue Traders a while back and they are RIP OFF MERCHANTS!!!!!
They ripped off an OAP and I think its the lowest of the low.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found a job (Ref: TAM/48466) on the Jobcentre Plus website for an administrator at Fazeley, Tamworth. I phoned Jobseeker Direct for more info, who told me to email Aquashield Ltd on [EMAIL="davidweir15@msn.com"]davidweir15@msn.com[/EMAIL] - so not sure if that's heplful to anyone?? Neddless to say, after reading the below comments, I won't be following this one up!!!!

4 more ex-aquashield'ites started up in n/west. Latest grapevine is 'travellers' doing roofs 120 mtr for £795.... the coating for a job that big costs £400, so what do you get for your money???? Fine line between rip-off too high and rip-off too low. Both ends of the scale ?????

Mate of mine is selling for roof-coaters, lost a 200+ mtr job to newby ex-aquashield cowboys even though there work was recommended by 2 seperate people, and they read these pages... so even the good guys are suffering from the increase in popularity. Despite these guys NOT being VAT registered, they say they have been around for 12 years. (£50k vat threshold for companies.... not been busy have they?)

Note for every new roof coating customer .... Ask about the primer coat... No primer = no good.

I had a visit from these con artists when I was looking into clearing the moss from my roof. Just as well I didn't agree to their RIDICULOUS £5K QUOTE! I knew from the moment the guy walked into my house and started talking to me in an over-familiar way that this was a "close the deal before you leave" pressure sell!

I was so disturbed by this chump and the prices that he was quoting that I decided to search the internet and ALAS - they appeared on BBC ROGUE TRADERS a few months back!! An expert said the so-called critical anti-fungal sprays and protective layers were not necessary and basically a load of old tosh! Total waste of money! Useless and unecessary!

To answer your question - YES, THEY ARE TOTALLY IFFY!

Btw, the fair quote was apparently WELL UNDER £1000 according to a builder friend :-). The roof could have been REPLACED for £5K!

They do the cold calling and hard selling quite frightening for the elderly,this was done on the 8th July and turned up on the 10th July to do the job,My Mother inlaw was to scared to say no to the job they had no time to cancel the company knew this,they spoke to my father in law and asked him to sign the form in the beginning who is very elderly and not with it some days doesnt know what he is doing.They jet washed the roof in the rain and wind painted the roof in the rain and put a second coat on in the rain,they broke tiles and where they put some cerment in washed out the paint is patchy ,and all the windows and doors are pepperd with red paint and the new conservatory is coverd in red paint, on the ground the moss and dirt was left,they also painted on the wrong side of the cimmney which is next doors,they left the guttering full of dirt and the guttering is broken.
The tin of paint that they left states put on in good weather conditions and the second coat in 24 hours.
It is an utter mess,please dont let this company in your house.
We now have the fight with this company.
If you have had a problem with this company please contact the trading standards, we can not let this happen to anyone else.

I have just cancelled a job with Aquashield, They wanted 4752 pounds to do the roof of my two bedroomed bungalow, After i cancelled there salesman called and tried to pressure me into re instating the order, he was very persistant so i had to spell it out for him.

I broke my own golden rule of never responding to a cold call, Silly me.
