Has anyone had any dealings with a copmpany / product called Aquashield - roof treatments ? MiL has just signed up to some roof cleaning treatment which sounds a bit iffy at £2.5K for a semi ?

I have recently used the Aquashield ( https://www.aquashieldcoatings.com if its the same business ) service up in Glasgow and found their service to be great value for money. They were quick and efficient. There price seemed very reasonable when compared to other equivalent services I think.

I'm also wary of people turning up on threads praising companies, especially when they have 1 post to their name and can use Google. Viral Marketing anyone?

    exactly.
BTW paying 2.5k for someone to spray some dubious (50 quids worth max) chemical onto my roof, seems like employing wacko jacko as a babysitter, as good sense.

A roof generally doesn't need cleaning, anything along those lines is purely cosmetic and will dissappear very shortly. My parents recently had their 1890's roof re-done (new battons, felt and replaced a lot of slates on a big roof) for around 4k.

Funny how roofing systems have worked OK for hundreds of years without either being painted in acrylic or being washed down with fungicide.
If your roof needs "........., replacement tiles, pointing, ........., labour" it could cost anything from a few pounds to a few thousand, we have insufficient details to go on.
