hi all,

Hubby applied for a vanquis card a couple of days ago.

He got a phone call on the house phone this morning from vanquis, but he was at work, and they haven't rung his mobile.

Is this a good sign that they rang?

:T Yay! thank you for your reply. Finally we should hopefully be able to start sorting out his credit record!

I've just told him and its like he's won the lottery....little does he know it won't be permenantly residing in his wallet for him to succumb to temptation!

Vanquis have just received my proof of address now apparently I have to wait for someone to contact me within 2 days by phone in order to go through the application as it has not been processed yet!!!!!!!!!

I asked them how comes a decision has still not been made and they said because someone needs to go through it with me on the phone. Anyone else had this?

If they decline me, I doubt i'll be re applying to them again, this is really annoying

Its quite a nice feeling being accepted, especially if you have been turned down before!

what number you ringing Rose to find this out cos when i rang i got through to the options, i picked for applications etc and its a recorded msg that cuts off at the end not putting you through to anyone .

After the recording, there are options, you need option 1 to speak to an advisor

i rang them and it said before i got through to someone vanquis have tried to call you today (i never had any missed calls today ) . then got through to a nice chat who said a letter had gone out to me on the 14th am they dont usally tell people over the phone but as i have been waiting along time he will tell me i have been declined:eek:. but try again in 6 months . wired though cos no credit search has been done

oh well never mine just hope capital one up's my limit on 4th statement .........

Vanquis call was annoying though. 5 past 8 this morning on landline then again at half past 8 and again at 10 to 9. They also phoned my mobile a couple times also.

I was missing out on my beauty sleep!
