Hi, my direct debit has still not left my bank account. Yet my evaquis statement still states it was taken on the 13th. Still have not been able to get them on the phone.

I did get a letter a few weeks back saying they were changing their originators number but it would not effect anything else, just seems strange not payment has gone from my bank account.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Just don't spend the payment thats still sitting in your bank account. It seems like many are struggling to call them on the phone, so it may be a major issue.

Hi, this is a bit of a weird one, had my card just under a month now, spent £300 on it, been paid today, so wanted to pay of what i spent, set up a debit card to pay the balance off, went to pay but it wont let me, just keeps on saying you cant pay more than the balance, the balance does say £0 even though i have spent £310.25, says next statement is due 24th june, do i have to wait till then to pay it off, or is there another way off paying(like bank transfer) or something, just seems bizarre that i can spend on the card, but cant pay anything off, and if i wait till the statement date, does that mean i will get hit with the interest?

    TIA
Take every day as it comes!!

Sign into evanquis. Check the balance, if the balance now shows £310.25 then pay using online banking. Being Friday, it won't show untill Monday at around midnight.

checked evanquis, balance is showing as £0, even though it says available credit is £189.75 on a credit limit of £500, and even though there is the list of companies i have used the card with and how much spent with each company

  • hi all

Had my vanquid card for about a year now and always pay extra and normally leaving a running balance of about 30 quid.

My latest statement has a item of "Billed deferred finance charge" of £4.90....

I have no idea what this is about...anyone seen something similiar ?

Were you in the past given a interest free promotional period. Maybe something like 6 months interest free on purchases. ? And did not clear it in full by the end of the promotion. ????

When Citi launched their credit card in partnership with Shell I applied for one pretty much when it was released. To my surprise I was accepted (bad debt in the past) and a friend of mine who worked in a bank told me it was a fluke and their was no way I would get another one. 3 months later I applied for an RBS credit card which I was also accepted for.

When Citi discontinued their partnership with Shell about 2 to 2.5 years later certain privileged card holders would have their accounts transferred to a Citi Platinum card. I thought there was no way I would get one of those so I started looking around for another card. I did not want to go with Vanquis but I applied anyway and they turned me down. :s

After getting myself into bad debt when I was younger this time around I was adamant there was no way I was going back there and I always make sure my card is paid off in full, on time, every month. I don't think Citi liked this as they reduced my credit limit from £1,500 to £1,100 and finally to £800. :S To my surprise I did receive a Platinum card and afterwards, as with most people I was transferred to the sh*t*y Opus card. :(

I just don't get how some credit card companies work. :S
